Default Moving Site from My Files

I know this is really simple stuff to those here but, while I'm an exprienced business person, it is not for me.

I am trying to get a network marketing training site set up at www.kiosk.ws
which is also a network marketing company, as well as a host.

I wish to put an already completed site onto their hosting system but it is in an .exe file on my computer. Their comment to me was as follows; "You cannot transfer the zip file because you will not be able to extract the files once the zip is on the server."

"The best method would be to transfer your site file-by-file to the server. You can do this using a FTP Client (aceFTP, coffeeCup FTP...)"

Please let me know if you need help doing this or with anything else. :-)"

So there is someone there that I can cordinate this with but I'm at a loss as how to provide them what they need.

I want to be able to manipulate, augment and amplify this site once I get it there (unlimited pages allowed there) and they have a web builder in their system, which I would like to use to be able to easily work with the site in the future.

I am on a tight budget since this is just a startup...is their anyone out there with the skills and tools to do this with me on a tight budget?

Thanks,

Daniel L. Bartlow

I did a search for FTP tutorials. I found a few that look good on the surface:

http://www.webdiner.com/webadv/begin/upload.htm

http://www.ftpplanet.com/ftpresources/ftpnew-user.htm

http://www.pageresource.com/putweb/ftpmain.htm

http://oregonstate.edu/cws/tutorials/file-transfer/

Good luck.

If you have a zip file with html pages in it, all you have to do is extract it with a tool such as Winzip to a directory/folder in your computer.

Next, download FTP software and I suggest WS_FTP Lite version.

Finally, obtain FTP login information from your host such as host name, user name and password for your account.

Then you are ready to rock and roll.

If like you said, they have a web builder system, I am assuming there is an upload feature in there somewhere that will allow you to upload your files.

Well, I'm a bit confused...

You said .exe file? That stands for executable.
It's a little program that executes programs/applications
