Default Stick to Blogger Feed or Go FeedBurner

Hi all

I am at a dilemma: I currently use blogger.com which has been fine. I currently use their Atom Feed and RSSFwd for email alerts.

The thing is on Atom Feed I have no subscribers, but a few using email alerts.

I have read a couple of newsletters that highly rate Feedburner for its software and services. I know I have to work on content to attract people - thats not the issue. My question is: Is it worth using FeedBurner or is it worth me sticking to the current Atom RSS.

Any help will as always be gratefully received.

TIA

In Oct-Nov 1007 I switched from the default wordpress feed to sending it through feedburner and have to say there are some very nice features and tools available through feedburner - most notable their statistics which let you get a good handle on you feed subscribers, usage, etc.

Feedburner also has an email alert/subscription built in to it that you can use - I am not using it so I cannot say how well it does or does not work.

I would say since you do not have any subscribers to the feed, now would be the time to switch if you are seriously thinking about it. If you do have a few email subscribers and choose to rollover to the Feedburner email services - it should be simple enough to migrate the few over to the new service - which would be better done now than after you have a higher number of subscribers.

Just my thoughts.....

I use feedbuner and love it. Lots of good stats and widgets to put on your blog. The email subscription option is worth it alone to sign up for it.

I would recommend you using Feedburner

Feedburner will give you more options with your blog feeds and can also keep a count of your rss subscribers

If I use a blogger.com feed, and incorporate it into a website, does that give you all the seo benefits of having a blog? By that, I mean have the blog as part of the domain e.g. website.com/blog and then will the search engines pick it up in the same way that it would pick up all content on a website or does the fact that the information may be published on blogger.com affect it from an SEO point of view?

Hope that makes sense but I would most appreciate help on this as it's obviously a pretty important part of any website's online marketing.
