multi-lingual setup for wordpress

hi, i want to set up a multi-lingual website using wordpress.

how do i setup a wordpress-blog for different languages, so that i get the most out of the system? does anyone know any good examples of multi-lingual wordpress-blogs?

(PS. i know maintaining a multi-lingual blog is a hard thing to do, but i will mainly write "pages" and just occasionaly posts.)

Why not simply create a different category for each language?

There are lots of plugins for dealing with languages, so the chances are there are already some ideas there as to the best direction to take.
