wordpress homepage: full or excerpt?

hi,

i wonder what is best for the readers:
the homepage, archive and category-pages showing the full post or the excerpt?

any thoughts on that?

PS this is not a duplicate content or SEO question, neither it is about the more-tag or evermore-plugin.

the question is about readablilty / usability
