I inherited the job of redesigning this site for
a real estate school in Florida. http://www.hogue-school.com It looks like the last designer was REALLY smitten by Yahoo's style of design for their front page. Yet the other pages are are a mishmash of styles. I heard tell there was two other designers way back from when this all started. To me its ok for providing information, but a bit of a mess in how its presented. Check it out and let me know what bits and pieces can be saved with it or should it be scrapped entirely. (I vote for scrap myself but I may be just being a bit too harsh) Well anyways whatever you want to say is fine, pick it to death, I just simply don't know where to begin if any of it is salvagable. Again as I said I just don't see anything design-wise worth saving. Thanks! Cursor_ <Mod edit to comply with Site Review Rule #1 - Masterpeace> |

I wouldnt actually call that a design. I would call it a page full of links, and the rest is well... yep, I would say a mishmash.
Scrap it. For sites like real estate, etc, I always think it is good to go with a nice crisp site design. With the exception of a couple of small graphics, use the design element of placing things in good readable format, and clear & concise navigation that is well optimized, using colours that welcome you in to read more, than scare you away. These types of sites are best read uncluttered.
