For anyone but preteens who've been on the 'net less than a year or so, the cursor trick gets annoying. How miniature are the horses? I don't know because the flag could be tirteen inches high or thirteen feet, there is no context. A background where height can be instantly judged would be ideal.
It helps when using terms like "miniature" to put the term in context. I, for one, flash on the idea of the infamous "miniature potbelly pig" which only gets to be 300 pounds and several feet over what buyers expected. The site misses many opportunities to inform. Training horses for school outings could mean, for example, you're good at human horse interaction without problems. This furthers the perfect familiy horse theme which, from a cursory glance, is mentioned and just as quickly abandoned for industry specific terms. The site layout is also industry based. Do the preteens you expect come chock full of the industry terms used in navigation? Perhaps there is some other way to categorize based on user objective, average information background, and so on? The site sells horses, but there's still some doubt if it is to the targeted segment or other experts. |

Just viewed several pages of your site. I dont know much about minature Horses, but looks like you do.
I'm afraid I would agree about the dancing horse shoes on your home page "very annoying" Good that you don't have them on other pages, I'd remove them if I were you!. The rest of the site looks good, loads of content...BUT no page navigation. You have got big pages the same as my site, you either need to put a good page navigation in place or make your pages much smaller. hope you are sucessful.. If you get chance please check out my site....www.simply-thai.com. |

DCrux, thanks for the suggestions. I have made some changes to the content of the first paragraph that should address some your concerns, the height of miniature horses and the family interaction with them.

simplythai, thanks for the review. I am not sure what you mean about no page navigation. All the pages are listed in what I thought was an acceptble navigation format on the top left of each page and all pages are linked. I took a look at your site. It has great content. I really like the faq pages. However the way the site navigation over lays the home page takes away from the great photograph on that page. Also I noticed you have no google ranking and it does not look like you are in the top 50 for Thailand travel. I think you need to add a link page to increase your popularity. Try this link http://www.instantposition.com/free_...eak your site.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look..
You are obviously viewing at 800x600..have just edited page should look OK now.. About your page nav... You have good site nav but on your larger pages viewers have to scroll the page, take a look at my destinations page it is 43000 pixels. I have 3 indexes on it plus a back point at every key stage. "most site viewers are lazy and hate to scroll up and down a page. Thanks again.. Take another look at mine if you have time. www.simply-thai.com |
