Hi All.

Im yet another ringtones/mobile phones provider (please dont groan!) I have redesigned my site probably about 20 times in the past 2 and a half years.

Im not very good with images and graphics but any opinions on my site would be welcome.

To be honest my earnings have never realy gone above 500 a month on average although I have seen over a 1000 pounds a couple of times.

I am unsure if its time to call it a day with ringtones?

Glenn

Default Your Site

Ok, first open your site and cross your eyes and look at your screen. Even in this state, there should be some focal point, someplace for your eye to start. Your site lacks this.

The best way to design your site is to order your information in a hierarchy of what is most important.
I am sure that you have already applied this technique in some form in the many times you have redone your site.

First, and most important, I assume your site's purpose is to turn a profit, yet from the home page, there is no direct way at first glance to even enter any kind of store front.

I think your homepage might serve you better laid out something akin to your http://www.tonebase.com/ringtones.php page, except I would put the blue boxes down the left and your content in the middle.

There are many other options to consider, but first decide what is most important, (what you want your visitor to see first) and some sort of call to action to funnel them into your storefront.

I will skim more through your site and add any additional comments if I have some.

-Joe

Hi mate,

Nice site. I thought the same, there isn't anything that grabs me when I got to the site.

I know of a good mobile insurance aff program that you could add to it as well.

It's free to set up and I think they pay £20 for each plan.

I'm not into it myself as I do internet access, but it is something I've come across.

Drop me an email if you want the details.

Cheers

Hi

I have to admit that looking at the index page I was a little bit confused about how to get where I wanted to go.

But once I got where I wanted to go I was impressed that I could download from New Zealand as well .. since I am in Kiwiland.

The only other thing I would I have to say is that when I went looking for a ringtone in pop I had to go through each individual page. Perhaps there is a better way to catalogue these rather than just page 1, 2 etc

But as I say once I found what I wanted I was pleased.

Cheers

Good job on improving your site! Just went back through posts I have made in the past, and your website is leaps and bounds over what it was before. The nav organization is clear and easy to follow. Everything that you are looking for is now easy to find and grouped logically. Great job!

Well I am new to this but I will give you my opinion.
I hope this dont sound harsh, but When it first loaded ( which was fast on my dialup connection) I saw alot of things at first I thought I opened up a newsletter. Unless this is what you were going for. Like I said I am new here. All the graphics loaded great too. Just didnt know at first what I was supposed to buy. (If I was to buy)
When I go to any online site I want it to be simple since I am not an online expert. If I cant figure out how to get where I want, I leave and try a new one till I find exactly what I want. But since in this case I dont need any ringtones ( I dont have a mobile type phone) It looks great but you just might want to simplify it a bit for those who are not computer savvy.
Just my opinion
