The text on the right of your banner is poorly defined. I would recommend at least bolding it, and convert the banner to a vector graphic if you have that capability. It'll be much clearer.

The text on your navigation tabs is also too faint. Bolding it should fix that nicely.

Your 2006 copyright notice should be updated to 2009.

All in all, a complete, pleasant site. I would suggest that you upgrade you forum program.

I would make the header grahpic of the woman and text higher quality. It appears to be a little pixelated. Her head is cut off at the top making it look a little out of place.

If you reduce the spacing between the banner ad and your logo visitors will see more content without having to scroll.

Might want to switch the placement of the header logo and navbar to be above the banner ad. Looks and feels weird to use a site where the top item is an ad and the logo/nav is half way down the page.
I would suggest removing the bolding from the paragraph text in the content area.
