I didn't do so well in the recommended tests but would like some feedback on design and usability etc for my site if anyone would care to take a look please

Petsvetshop Discount Flea and Tick Supplies

I have done some SEO work on this page so far, as a landing page for some adwords:

Frontline Plus for Dogs

If anyone would care to comment on optimising that page.

Thanks everyone

I have seen alot worse. To be honest your site is not that bad. I do have a few things though you may want to consider.

1. It seems you have the same description for every page. You need to have an unique description for each page.
2. SEO / Visitor friendly URL's would help.
3. I would create a sitemap.xml file and submit it to Google, Yahoo and MSN.
4. You have an canonicalization issue that needs to be addressed.
5. Titles on your text links would help along with alt tags on images on your product pages.

When I first looked at your page I thought busy and cartooney, but after a while looking around it was not bad.

Is the site Australia specific?
Nice design but more content is appreciated.

.
I have done different meta descriptions for about 25% of the products but some SEO analysis tools and Google seem to be showing them all the same, even though the description is different when you view source. I'm not sure why this is happening but am aware of it.

Not sure how to achieve this with the ecommerce package I have purchased but will look into it, do you have an example of what changes need to be made?

Am going to attempt to modify the code to add alt to images but not sure how successful I will be, I have found a hack that may work for that.

Can you elaborate on titles on text links for me please

Thanks again for your insight, it is much appreciated

Hi, not really, the aim is to target US and UK customers as well, however the Australian dollar is very strong at present which makes things difficult for exports.

Do you mean it looks too Australia-centric?

I am working on adding more content but I haven't got a lot of time to devote for the next few weeks so am gathering ideas and doing what I can in the little time I have.

Thanks again for taking a look

This is done in the htaccess file with a Mod Rewrite. If your shopping solution has a community I would start there as you should be able to find one that is cut and paste. If not search your cart name and seo friendly url's.

This will tell you all you need to know and more Canonicalization Prevention

Titles on text link help with accessibility and also add keyword weight to your links. Adding titles can be done by adding a title="title" in the Href so it looks like this.
Code:
<a title="My Account" href="http://www.petsvetshop.com.au/account.php">My Account</a>
Now when someone hovers their mouse over the link they will see My Account just like they do with images that have alt text.
