Default save-energy.org - Review needed urg on DIY Commercial site

To anyone who can be bothered,

I set up this site
www.save-energy.org
a few years ago and am just starting to try and make it work for me commercially.
as you will tell immediately it is a DIY job using Frontpage but it is nice and simple, easy to navigate (I think) and I believe I have it optimised fairly well.
Any and all criticisms will be read and digested and acted upon.

Regards

Stewart King[http://www.save-energy.org]

The colors! My eyes! Not to mention people with color deficient vision. The fewer colors on the screen, the less active and more inviting the site appears.

Line everything up. You have the top section alligned to the exact center of the browser, and the rest cockeyed skewed to the left. Keep your ducks all in a row.

The endless list on the side was a bit overwhelming. I shouldn't have to scroll down to see the complete navigation list on the front page, shrink the vertical spacing between the links, and widen the sidebar enough to keep all text on one line (see imdateless.com for an example).

I click on a link, and poof, the text shifts back to the center, and the top bar dissappears. I need something on every page telling me where I am, something up top, something immediate. (your heating page is a good example of what to do with the rest of the links).

Your formatting was all over the place, making me dizzy, the changing colors nauseating me, and the constantly centered text, well, hard to read. A suggestion would be to place your text in a centered table, with the text justified and all in a row. Remember, lining things up is a good thing.

Other then formatting, several tables left with empty spaces, and the navigation box stretching from here to eternity, the information on the site was very thorough and comprehensive. With a few touches here and there, this site could be something great.
