This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate. |

Hello all, looking for feedback on a new theme template I installed for a Simple Machines forum website, it's the new East Grinstead Forum. Any help is most appreciated.
Many thanks, Melissa

Not bad.
You need more people participating. I noticed that there is no website at EastGrinstead.co.uk and I suggest you try to get that. Don't worry about the design as it is "good enough". Put all your energy into getting more people.

Hi there,
I have registered the forum, but it is pending approval by admin. So, I can't see anything in the forum yet.. So far the look and feel of the forum is good. But, feel that it is a bit empty and seem like less member. May be your forum is still young and need to recruit more member. After I am able to sign in, I might give more comment. |

In the beginning you should start some threads in your forum yourself but with different usernames.

I'm in complete agreement with davebarnes about needing a website to 'front' your forum. A true home page with a bit of front matter and some interesting content about your area, including a map of where you are, and the district. Giving people something to get interested in can only help to enlist new members to the forums.
Being a local concern, you will need to raise awareness of your Home page throughout your district by means other than the web. Promote heavily where you live, and focus on creating content, and then topics that others can relate to that stem from that content. As far as the forum site is concerned, there don't appear to be any major or glaring deficiencies so I wouldn't go tweak crazy on it for the time being, even if others give you good suggestions. Better, imho, to build a list and go through it in a month's time, giving this next month to the mission of a website. Good work, so far. |

Yes there could be a little bit more color.
Have you thought about a variable width (like the webproworld forum) instead a fixed one?
