Default Bathcode - grooming for geeks

Please take a look at Bathcode.com, I'm particularly interested in your opinions on the design, and does this sort of thing appeal to you (being the tech-savvy people that you are!

thanks

Overall I like the design, perticularly the 'about us' page. On the shop area though the pictures are a little small with no option to enlarge the image. Also on the contact us page the black text on the blue background is a little hard to read.

The front page I think is the weakest, I see what you are trying to achieve with the images being randomly placed but I just think it needs a little tweaking.

A nice looking site though all the same.

Good luck

For some reason, the Contact Us page, and only this page, shows with horizontal scrolling. Weird.

I like it.
I would like to see more content. Especially text as Google loves text.
You need to revise: title, description, keywords tags. They should by UNIQUE and relevant to each page. YOu get 66 characters for the title and 150 for the description.

Simon-

The design is simple and attractive, but I think you really have offered very little to interest your users, and draw them in. I also noticed that regardless of which page I was on, clicking on FAQ simply reloaded the current page.

A good start, but I think you need to add a little more meat to it.

You can enlarge the images in the shop, didn't you try clicking on any of them?

Thanks for your comments,
Simon

Simon, I just tried again and the images did enlarge. The reason I didn't click on them before was because I didn't realise there was a link there. The cursor does not change to the normal finger from the arrow as it normally would when hovering over a link.

Two quick things

1. Your FAQ link does not seem to work
2. I hate your privacy policy link as it takes me away from your site.

Oh one more thing
You may want to think about creating your own 404 error page. Why advertise for host gator? Your paying them enough already.

All was said already, so I say remove the FAQ or fix it. The rest is a great looking design.

Very cool site! You're missing a link to the shopping cart - seems you have to buy a second product to reach cart again if you've chosen 'Continue Shopping'!

Do edit your page titles - use Google Keyword Generator to find the best and be sure the page title is repeated in the page text.

Love the Surfer's Soap - am sure many Surfing Sites would be happy to link to you.

sure, but rather than send out free samples to everyone (good way to go broke!) , how about I send a product sample with every purchase made. Just email me your details after you've made a purchase & I'll send you a bonus. just mention this tread in your email

thanks everyone!

Simon

Sounds good...I'll let the wife decide.

I found a shopping cart issue. Once in the shopping cart, I proceeded to the Order Details. I clicked back, then noticed the quantity changed from 1 to 2.

Hm ok. The shopping cart is provided by a third party so I don't really have a lot of control over it, short of ditching it for a new one.
