Flash is slow and choppy. Nice pic on header.

Never sure a Flash dominated entry page is a good idea.

For me the information is scattered all over three columns and cluttered.
The centre column gives a lot of wasted space to what are presumably paid adverts, while the left and right columns have squashed in "budget" adverts.

At the bottom of page is a whole raft of links - which again lost my attention.

I suppose "we" look at the page design and funtionality, when a punter simply looks for information and could spend a pleasent half hour going everything slowly.

I found the website a little confusing at first because I thought it was a website for a specific property, but then found it was a travel portal offering many B&B's and even holidays in Spain. I guess I got over the confusion pretty quickly, but it seemed strange.

I found the website has many competing ideas and tended not to know where to focus. Your promoting charities with Starlight, you have accommodations, you have weird sharks swimming in sidebars discussing predators, and so on. I think you've got too much.

I have the same problem. I start out throwing in everything plus the kitchen sink and then after a while I return to it and start cutting back. Remember, you need to make a quick impression and sell your core idea in 3 seconds.

I thought the openning video was fine, but it sets a tone - everything is 5 star and expensive. And then, I see there are other properties. Perhaps they don't all share that theme?

There is no way to turn off your talking heads. I would like to have the option to stop the talk when I look at a new page.

As the above poster said - the site lacks focus. The headlines are far too small and actually more easily missed than recognised. On a high-res monitor, the menus on the left get completely lost.
Many of the images are really nice and sell the idea pretty well, but the whole site takes far too long to navigate and I doubt anyone but us here spends enough time to explore it.

I agree with Web Res on the talking heads issue. For me I found them in the way as they covered part of the page and to be honest I just wanted to make them stop and go away.
I did though in trying to make that talking head stop talking found an error. From the home page click: Cottages then click Lillies Cottage. Once the page loads and the talk thing starts click anywhere on that dumb thing and you will get a 404 error page not found.
I also noticed your home page had a scroll bar at 1024x768 where the other pages do not.

You have a canonicalization issue as seen in your sitemap.xml file. <loc>http://www.new-forest-bed-breakfast.co.uk/</loc> --- <loc>http://www.new-forest-bed-breakfast.co.uk/default.asp</loc>

looking through your code you have empty meta tags that should be removed along with the improper / useless meta tags.
<meta name="robots" content="index.follow"> I would remove this as it does no good but if it must stay it should be ' content="index, follow">'
I would remove these as well
name="revisit-after"
name="area"
name="county"
name="country"
name="rating"
name=
"owner"

On your contact us page you wasted the entire top with a talking man. I would put in a web form so people can drop you a line even if they they not have access to email.

You may want to add alt tags to your images and also add title attributes to your text links.

You may want to consider changing the folder name that holds your blog. Right now it is .com/joesblog/. For me this just does not fit.

Thoughts
I found the page to reliant on the talking heads. I personally keep my speakers off so they did not help me at all but even people who use public computers like in libraries and such may not have sound or email. I also agree that you have a lot going on and may want to weed it down a bit. When I first got to your page I thought is was a page about 1 Resort. This kinda threw me as I started looking over your site.
