I'm a bit rushed right now, but I did immediately notice one thing. I tagged some Ferrero Rocher chocolates for delivery to Warangal, and on the next page, where I would be able to select the delivery date, I see that the drop-down windows for both the city and the date are so small that they only show part of the contained text. I didn't check other pages, but would assume its the same throughout.

The site has nice colors, sharp pictures and is laid out fine.
I was wondering why the ‘Worldwide Delivery’ pages have a different layout. It seems odd to me that the header space is used to bring the safety of my credit card to my attention rather than motivate me with a catchy slogan or persuasive image or both. The header is generally used to impress the visitor with the company and its products or service but thinking of credit card safety is a distraction from the products. In my opinion the credit card safety assurance would be appropriately placed in the right column with the credit card information. Also, my browser doesn’t allow scripts so I wasn’t able to use the search feature. I only allow scripts for sites that have gained my trust. Now comments about the code: There is not a DOCTYPE which informs the browsers how to interpret the code which ensures the pages will be displayed properly. Without the DOCTYPE declaration the browsers will use a default and may not display the page as it was intended to be displayed. The W3C Markup Validation Service - You can use the free validator service to help you choose the correct type for your site. If you need further assistance then you can post a request for help here at WPW. I searched the code for heading tags and found they were not being used. If you use the validator link above and select the ‘Outline’ box to have them checked then the heading tags <h1> thru <h6> will be shown at the bottom of the checked page. These heading tags give an outline of the page and are used by some search engines to identify keywords. Headings will sum up the topic of the page and/or paragraph(s) under them. It is not necessary to use all six but only what is appropriate to distinguish different topics and sub-topics on the page. If you choose to use heading tags you may find that the default sizes seem unfitting but they can be styled to suit your needs. |

Great review, Clicken! One other item that I noticed is that the 'Go' button on the FIND box on various international pages is dead.

Nice looking site but I too have seen a few things that you may want to consider.
1. All of your pages have the same title, keywords and description. These should all be unique for every page. 2. Linking from images is okay, but if you can I would add a rel="nofollow" to these links and link from the short description. 3. You have canonicalization issues that should be addressed. 4. Looking at some of your pages above the <head> you have a few scripts. If you can I would remove these and put them in an external .js file. 5. I would remove the <styles> and put them in an external .css file. 6. I would remove this "<META NAME="Classification" CONTENT=" this is not going to help you at all and might even hurt you as it can be seen a trying to spam your keywords. 7. Also looking through your code, I'm not sure if you left all the comment tags in as a form of SEO or not but I would remove them. 8. Title attributes on your text links would help with accessibility. 9. I would create a sitemap.xml and submit it to Google, Yahoo and MSN. 10. I did not like the sitemap.asp page as it looked like it could not find the css file. This page should look like all the rest except for you would replace the existing content with the sitemap. 11. I would create a custom 404 error page that had the same look and feel as the rest of the site. 12. In your robots.txt you blocked search engines from crawling your images. Personally I would remove this and let them crawl it. Then I would make sure my images are named with keywords in them. This will help you get pulled in Google images. This may not bring too many sales but it will help get your name out there and may also bring in a few links 13. If you plan on using your logo or name as a trademark, you may want to include a (tm) in the upper right hand corner. This indicates your claim to it. You do not have to have it registered to use the (tm). Only the (R) needs to be registered before use. Hope this helps. Last edited by amxfan; 08-30-2009 at 11:59 AM. |

I checked the site. The thing is it looks like you're simply in ahurry to get the business going and getting some quick clients. If you really want clients to order it has got to be more user friendly. You're aiming the site at more traffic in order to get ahigher rank but not really looking for customers. Look at it from acustomers point of view, what are they looking for, what they really want, and what options can you give them.
Maybe you're just aiming for traffic so you get a rank soon enough and then clients will automatically come through. That' not going to work. respect their intelligence and give them something to come back to. |
