Default Needed site review for japanese used cars site

Hello everyone I would like to ask some suggestions and comments that
will help me to develop the site I am currently working with right now.
I was working on this site sbtjapan.com for almost 6 months. At first
I check for the site's popularity, traffic and rankings.. and it doesn't show
at any page of Google and Yahoo. I tried to make a thorough study of the site
and I noticed the url it was srv11.sbtjapan.com/sbtsite/Home.Sample plus
the site's look, the navigation and the images used.

Plus the content.. I know that it should be changed but we are not permitted
to change it not unless it was approved. Then for almost 6 months the site
appeared at different pages of Google, but not in Yahoo it fluctuates from
up to down then down to up.. I know that there are Google updates and some
changes in algorithm.. but can you tell me how am I going to rank it well?
And can you tell me what are the problems of the site. Any suggestions
are very well appreciated.. thanks in advance..

I like the open feel, and one spelling note: I think you want to have "Make:" instead of "Maker:" -- as in the make/model of a car ... hope this helps

I like the Skype. Not many people are using this and I think any communications, especially free are good business. I am not sure how good it will be unless you have someone to man it all the time. I tried it and got no answer.

Your whole design totally stumps me. I can not seem to find anything. I did try to find a car that might tempt me to import. The closest I got was this page
car's catalogue - Sbtjapan.com presumably a page Of Chevrolets I might wish to import (my presumption)

If I cannot find a page worth looking at - that is specifically about something
I suspect the search engine will not either. The impression I have is this is your data base.

I think you need to build a website targeting people who might want to import a car from japan. I think you should hide your web designer in a cupboard somewhere and only get him out to introduce him to your new salesman - (when you get one).

then start again Using 'Sales' as a motive for creating the new site.

How to rank in Google ?

1 create a web page especially designed for me to view.
2 On this web page place a nice car that I can import from japan.
3 Show me photos of the car, give me a description of the car.
4 tell me exactly what I have to do to get this car delivered to my front door.
5 Solve all my registration problems - title the page year, make, model.
6 Make we want to Import this car.

then place a link to this page somewhere on the net so google can find it, So when I go looking for this specific page - it will be ready . .

Once you know how to sell one car - selling the rest should be easier.

What Google does.

What Google does is very simple (forget all the algorythm and SEO crap) Google reads what the searcher places in the search box. bear in mind that Google prefers the searcher to know what they are looking for.

If the searcher types "import a 1986 Nova" Google sets off finding a page that specifically tells it - "HEY Google, I have a page about 'Importing a 1986 Nova'

this is your first step, your most important step.

Do you think the customers you are lookin for will type into the search box "car's catalogue - Sbtjapan.com" ?

This is in a nutshell - your first problem.

I agree with Tubby but with a few less words. Straight to the point: Your navigation is poor. "trying to word it nicely" Quick examples:

I come to your page looking at a car and I click on the top auction link exsecting to be taken to an auction page or site and what do I get? A page that states "The auction has been upload to e-motors"... Great how do I get there from here? I Can't! So I leave.

Next visitor comes to your site and clicks the top link called stock cars, expecting to find a page with pics and info on stock cars. What do I get? A pretty flag and a pdf. And if I happen to see it two links on the nav bar telling me to search! Why don't you say that from the get go?

Last visitor comes to your site and clicks parts with the expectation to be taken to a page where he can pick make and model of the part he/she is look for. What do I get? A page that has 3 images and a little bit of text, but I see a link for single part. In hopes I click it. Now I'm hit with "you must login". Sorry I'm not going to waste my time to even register unless you show me why I should.

To be honest I am glad that you're not ranked very well in Google for your site as I can not find anything on it and have wasted my time trying to. There are too many other sites that do rank high in Google that do this already. Let your site not be one of them.

Not being harsh, being honest.
