Default Please Review: www.KittenGuru.com

Hi,

I have written a kitten care eBook - it's a really strong book, even if I do say so myself but I'm struggling to get sales. So, I was wondering whether you guys thought the design might be the problem?

Cheers!

The biggest thing I noticed is that your "call to action" is really obscure.

Someone has to scroll way down to the bottom of the page before you tell them "Buy This!"

On the rest of the page, it's hidden behind images (far too many times IMO) where a visitor wouldn't have a clue.

It is obvious that this is a UK site.
I wouldn't even think of buying a book from the UK. Shipping costs and all that.

Thanks for the feedback guy - yes I need to tell them to buy sooner - good point.

It's an ebook so no shipping costs. Obviously, that's not clear, so that's something to work on too. Thanks!

Lots of pink. Didn't realise cats are that colour. All links point to sale site. Why not give some examples from your book? How do I know your book is worth reading? I would be off your site in a flash.

I agree with crankydave 100% but also to add to that I would also try to optimize the page as more visitors = more sales. With this I would:

1. Change the title to something like "Caring for kittens ebook from kittenguru.com"
2. Add a meta description some like "Caring for kittens made simple with the Caring for Kittens ebook from kittenguru.com"
3. Add meta keywords.
4. Remove the styles to an external .css file.
5. Add some header tags to your code and use some keywords in these tags.
6. Instead of having one big picture for your books and testimonials, split them into two and name the one of the book something like "Caring for kittens". This may help with Google images and draw some people from there. Do the same with the image of the 2 books. Also add alt text to these images.
7. You advertise PayPal but you only link to clickbank. Personally I do not like clickbank and I do not trust clickbank therefor I will never use clickbank. But I do use PayPal. You may want to link directly to PayPal.
8. The instant download needs to be pushed more to attract the impulse buyer.
9. Most ebooks are in pdf format, but you fail to state what format your book is in. Is it a pdf, txt, doc ? Also I would add something of the sort "Clear illustrated text with over X amount of images".

You say you're not getting any sales. To be honest I cannot see how you're getting that many people and feel once you add a few call to actions and get some targeted visitors, your sales will grow.

I too wonder about all the links to sales. Everywhere my cursor goes you have a link. I thought they would lead me to more info. The only links you need to your sales forms should be "Buy here". I really liked your header. I think the picture at the bottom would be much better at the top to pique more interest.
