Default Please Reivew my SEO site

Hi Guys,

A service I offer is critiquting websites however I find it really hard to do this to my own site.

Any feedback would be appreciated as I am just fine tunning it before I start to drive traffic to it.

The site is Media Precision

Cheers

I really like doing reviews on Web design / SEO sites to be honest. But keep in mind it is my belief that there are a few too many of them out there and people say that I tend to be a little harsh on anyone calling themselves a professional web designer or SEO professional. I just try to be honest as I feel these people should know cutting edge technology and utilize it in their site. They should also push the envelope a little with overall design and functionality.

1. You state on your services page "Websites are an integral part of any successful business. It is often peoples first impression of you as a company." My first impression of your site was "You are just another so called web design professional". WordPress is great, but as a web design / SEO company, a hand coded tableless design is expected and in this day and age, almost a necessity to compete in this industry.
2. Your Contact Us page does not have a physical address and you still want my money? Even your whois info is hidden! "The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their address omitted from the WHOIS service." Again I do not trust you.
3. The Our Clients page will scare most people away. I understand that you're new and you're trying to get started, but until you have real clients you need to create some pages in different markup languages and name this section "Portfolio" so people can see your work.
4. Since most of the SEO and markup on this site was done for you either by Wordpress or All in One SEO I cannot comment on it. Even your forms were made by someone else.
5. I found the entire above the fold area was used by 3 large images that did not really tell me why I should stay on your site and look around.
6. If you're going to target people here in the states you may want to change the way your phone number looks to +44 (0) 115 946 8320.

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot for your feedback on this, your points are all valid and I will take them on board.

It was not our intention to give the impression we are a web design agency, we specialise in SEO but are offering it as an additional service, that is purely on there to add value.

The Idea of having a wordpress site initially was so we could get something up there quickly and then start to market it, as it will take a long time to get good serp's.

The address point is a very good one and something we agree 100%

I hadn't thought about the clients page from that point of view. The thought behind that was to attract 2 clients to use as a case studies but I can now see how that would put them off. I will get rid of that and put some of my portfolio work up there.

Some may say you are indeed harsh however If you'd have come on and said how great the site was I would have learn't nothing.

Thanks again for your feedback,

Although amxfan already hit most of the things that needed some explanation or change, I would like to add some.

People are too lazy enough and waste their time just get on your contact page and inquire about your services by email one by one. To provide your visitors a way to make it easier for them to inquire, why not make a list of packages with prices on what services you are offering?

I also noticed on your header as well as your navigation that you have the word "Free SEO Report".
My question is, what is this free seo report all about anyway? Why would I get a report if I don't even know what services and how much cost do I need to consider? I am sorry but I just can't really get what is that "Free SEO Report" all about. Enlighten me anyway.

I don't want to be harsh but it's going to be hard to sell SEO services when you haven't archived it on your own site and have very little traffic. A zero page rank and an Alexa rank over 900 thousand would turn me away in seconds.

The overall design and colors look pleasant and the graphics are great. I like the simplicity of it.

the word in your logo says 'visability', I thought it should be 'visibility'.

too many keywords in meta tag, use max 8 or 9.

I like the overall graphics, the blue colour has always been the choice for hosting and seo companies as it suppose to mean the colour of precision and trust.

a lot of content, on each pages, possibly to long to read them, I would have preferred some short, powerful call to action linked with a free and impressive service with immediate results

best of luck,

Zee
