Question Blue Sun Properties

I am beating my head on my desk over small differences in how IE handles css versus Firefox. When I think I have it right in one browser, I see something broke in the other one. Please have a look at my site concerning Panama City Beach Vacation Rentals and tell me what else is broken. My eyes are starting to cross now.

Upon viewing your website on IE on 1280x1024 resolution (if that even makes a difference) I noticed that there is a navigation menu at the top of the page which I can barely see. It seems to be cutoff and I can only see about 5% of the menu. The rest seems to be cutoff.

See? That's the kind of thing I was talking about. Thanks for pointing that out, and it is fixed.

Firefox on a Mac, you're good to go. Nice site. I like Panama City too but I had to give up my pocket knife at your huge airport there last December when I came home to Reno. One criticism, I'm an old guy, not I suspect unlike some of your clients, and the gray text is a little tough for me to read. Try dark blue, it'll work with your site and be much easier to read. Maybe a medium aqua would work too if you don't like the look of dark blue.

FF3 on an XP machine, it looks great. Likewise with IE on the same machine. It has nothing to do with your stated concerns, but are you aware that on the Aqua page, the mouse-over photos have one that is repeated once, and another that is repeated twice?

Also, as another not-so-young viewer, I'd agree with Scott...the gray text is a little hard on the eyes.

At $1,200 a week, you'll probably see more of US renting them, than of the Spring Break crowd.

Otherwise, it looks great.

IE and Firefox looked good on my machine.

On Opera the drop down menus did not function properly.

Peace,
Ken

Hello

Over all the site is working well in Firefox 3.0 and safari too .
IE i didn't checked .
and would suggest that try to change the color of the drop down as the transparent effect some what make dull and hard to read for some instance , so think something about it (that's only my opinion but i felt so )
Try to have some of reviews on the page so the trust is being developed . and the users hold on ur site .

the Dates on the Calander not working which is also something major missout . and if the one is trying to book for the date then it's easier for them to just book something from the date too ,

and also u are having 3 H1 and a slight differences from the keywords u mention .
I am too new bie to seo but i think if u use proper the same content in H1 then it would be more easier and helpful to target the ranking .
and the Boots Follow or no Follow not seen .
so update that too. .

Good luck .

I also get the problem where the top menu with the print function displays in Firefox, but not in IE.

- I would improve how people contact you. Where's your phone number? Finally, it is found on the Contact Us page with very small letters is a number (doesn't say phone number) below an address in Kentucky. I would add a phone number to every page.

- You display availability, but you can't book? Why, there are lots of booking systems to manage secure online bookings. If you don;t want people to call (hidden phone number), then you have to make the online booking easier. Where you don't make it easy to book, you do make it easy to get a Newsletter???

- Home Page image has no alt text.

- You use H1 tags 6 times on the home page. There seems to be a lot of discussion now about Htags and there importance to SEO. Some like them and others say they are just decoration. Those that like them would say use H1 one time and h2 or smaller for everything else.

- From an seo prospective, I like to have a page on the area. Things to do in Panama City. Good for keywords and helps people decide to stay there. Maybe the Blog fills that need?

- Map of Panama City can be a very good keyword combo - I would create a map page with a bigger map. The maps in the Rental pages seem small - especially when you click the info bubbles.

- Noticed the navigation changed on the Links Page

- I might bring down the prominence of the Owners page. Perhaps a subtle link in the footer that links off to another website like your design website. I tend to think this website is all about selling vacations and the business of attracting new owners to buy services should be separate.

- Your opening image is great! I would make more of the fact that you're selling beachfront accommodation. No road to cross - not 3 blocks back - ABSOLUTE BEACHFRONT.
