| Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate. |

After the umpteenth time I paid for the privilage of being treated like crap by a business, I decided to start a web site where people could share their customer service experiences and post business reviews - both positive and negative.
I've got a message board segemented by industry, with a category for posting product reviews as well, and a business directory; registered users can add and grade businesses in the directory and post on the board- anyone can read the board or browse the directory. The directory is segemented by state, major metro area, industry category, and industry sub-category. It's empty right now except for a few posts by friends- it's been in development until just today. Everything seems to be working, but it hasn't been banged on. I'd appreciate any suggestions on layout, navigation, ease of use, etc. All the standard stuff. Essentially I'm trying to create a free Angie's List that has nationwide appeal. I kept it plain on purpose. Thanks! Webdango

Went to the ServiceReportCard site.
Perhaps it is not the site structure, but the basic premise. First, there are many of these sites, with epinions perhaps the most notable. They are, many times, worth the paper they're not written on. All bark and no bite, there's a term for these sites... forums. I would add to the layout some mechanism for changing what is reviewed. This could be teaming up with a team of experts, or starting a parrallel mystery shopping service, or something. Check this news review of gripe sites, if you need a general review. |
