Default Purexltd.co.uk - Have I hit on a new way of promoting?

I'd love to hear your opinions on http://www.purexltd.co.uk

Also I have started a programme of contacting other related sites for links. Some of the smaller sites I contact are not promoted in the engines so I have put together an email which (hopefully) tells them how to promote themselves.

The email contains links to submission pages on google etc, and info about overture and adwords etc.

The other thing I have considered is to submit their sites myself to get them listed to further promote my incoming links.

What do you all think about this idea?

Love to hear your opinions as always, Jon--

nice clean layout, i like it.

my only suggestion would be the left hand navigation menu, you could get a vitually identical effect using css and text links, which would be faster to download, more accessible and provide keyword links for the spiders to follow.

cheers

Thanks Ben - good tips.

What do you think of the link promotion idea - will it work?

Default Is it legal? Is it wrong in any way?

Dear all,
I'd really like to know what you all think of this idea and it's implications if any.

I can't think of any downsides at the moment, but I would like your opinions just to make sure.

I like everything about your design except the blinking header (just personal bias I guess).

As far as your link exchange idea - I think the email explaining the submission process is good. Would you take on extra liability if you did the submissions for your link partners? Or would you be the bad guy if three months from now Google changed their scheme and the link partner disappeared from radar?

Default Moral Question?

I suppose it's one thing to advise your link partners of good practice but another to offer a submission 'service'

What I am talking about is to get my link on anothers site and then I will proceed to submit their site to the engines without telling them. This should benefit them and us in the long run.

The question is does anyone see any problems in doing this?

Jon--

Default I vote no on submitting others' sites w/o their permission

I see a major issue of submitting others' sites without their permission -- those are THEIR sites. You have no right to meddle in another's life just because you think that they could use the help (to help you). Advising them is one thing, doing it without permission is another. If the links that you've chosen aren't "good enough," choose other links. If it is a limited market, offer to do it for them and if they agree, no issue.

Default Get Permission First

I agree with ldyguique. Working on behalf of another without their permission is not a good idea.

Default Site Review

Thanks for the input guys - I'll take it onboard.

I did go off on a tangent there though, the original post was to review http://www.purexltd.co.uk

Would anyone like to take a look - all opinions and advice most welcome.

Kind regards,

Jon--
