Almost ready to go live. Any review good or bad is appreciated.

This site was designed not for designers but for people who NEED a website.

I wanted it to be Bright and Bold very eye catching, yet clean and professional. This is actually the third design, the first was a bit more clean and culsultanty, but I decided to go with more of a budgety look.

Tell me what you think.

PS. Im also intrested in load time as there are a lot of pictures on the main page.

Tested in IE6 56k modem 800x600. Text loads nice and fast but the graphics are a little slow to load - around 25 seconds. Graphics that are links could do with ALT tags. Otherwise, a very nice design. Good luck with it.

That is a very strong statement you have on your website.

A few thoughts:
  • It would be nice to see some sample sites and
especially site that you've done for clients.
  • Client testimonials are always good to show.
  • Some of the photos you use.. are nice looking,
but (for me) don't connect with the content of the page.
  • Your pricing - a per year price, is an interesting
    approach.
  • You use "cheap professional..." in the title of your
page. The word "cheap" conveys the message "sub-standard".
  • Re: the quoted statement above - just saying
your the best, may turn people off. Demonstrate it
    and you'll get them.

Thanks nickc.
Totally forgot the alt tags for the main page...
In a terrible rush to get this site up but I will put them up asap.

I've been working on the directory (making the url se friendly /script/topic/subtopic instead of script?topic=x&subtopic=x) buy i ran out of time or got lazy and did it the non se friendly way anyhow. Thats where all my energy was for the last few days.
So thanks again.

Thanks for the review vwebworld.
-I already have a few gif's on my server of prior work but I just didn't have time to put them up. Plus I don't really have a place to put them. I had it on the main page but I removed it in favour of the free merchant download guide. And I don't want a "Portfolio page". But after reading the rest of your review I think that I will put them up in the "why choose us" section, I think it may also be wise course of action to put the testimonials there also.

-I will add what I have and go back to other ones to get more, then add them to the why us section.

-The photos are from the original site and I had to pay good money for them so... I have no choice but to keep them for now. :)

-The whole idea of this site/project is based on this concept. Originally I would take quotes and and 95% of client would not accept the project because of either the price $600-$1500, and what was involved after the site was completed. Paying extra fees and so on.

And since there isn't really a market for this type of service then I decided to go this way. The only similar market is the template based market but the client has to do all the work themselves.

I know that there are some risks involved as many site don't really last that long if their owner don't really know about the internet and how to make it work for them, but that one of the reasons why I created the directory. I also have other ideas to keep cliants as clients but I have no time to go into that now.

I just need each customer to stay 2 years with me and I will fully benefit from the partnership. Any thing after that is icing on the cake.

-I will change it. I was never really confortable with it but was using it to draw people from search engines looking for budget web design.

-See above. Thanks again!
