Arrow Plzzzzz critique sleeparama.com !!

Hi friends,

Sleeparama is one of the most well known and well established beds, mattress and bedroom furniture providers in the state. Sleeparama has for generations helped hundreds of satisfied clients buy their ideal beds, futons, furniture and mattresses to decorate their bedroom.
Please review this site and give your opinion.

The sale items on the hompeage might be better as a click through. The menu moves from the right to the left as you go from the home page to a category. The breadcrumb vanished when you get to a product page, and the few that I clicked on looked short on detail. I clicked on a lifestyle solutions link from one of the product pages and the link was broken.

The site isn't centered is over to the eft on my screen. I coudn't see an obvious contact us page - it offers you to send a email on the about us page, but that's not where I would have expected that to be. I couldn't see a phone number - I'd have that in your header. The footer doesn't appear on the homepage.

I suggest moving the testimonials to a page of their own.

Make it more obvious on your home page that you only serve a specific area. It didn't jump out at me at first. Seeing the cart and create an account option at the very top, which did jump out at me, made me think that I could make a purchase from your on-line store and have it shipped to any State. I'm assuming that you don't ship, that you only do deliveries? Your visitors should not have to assume anything; you should make it obviously clear on your home page. I think a page listing the towns that you deliver to would be good. Otherwise, your visitor has to either call you or e-mail you to find out if you deliver to where they live. Personally, I wouldn't spend time on a web site looking at your products if I can't determine immediately if I can actually purchase your products and have them delivered.

You have to make your street addresses and phone numbers more obvious. I'd put them in your header. They are lost where you have them now.

The site is aligned to the left and would look better centered.

Your copyright is 2005 on one page I visited and 2007 on another. It needs to be updated and current.

When you get down to the subpages, the footer is bigger thus, making it's background image display more than once. I'm betting that's unintentional.

From a consuers point of view, there's no way I but big tickect items like furniture sight unseen, but that's me. But Even if I was I would definetly bigger and better pictures.

Sorry but your sites product photos just don't cut it IMO.

- If thats true. Then tell them to pay a web designer with some skills to design them a website. BVecause all i saw was a murky brown sales page.. and nothing more.. That website is a real turn off!!

Centered design would accomodate more product without been too long. Tend to agree with the last post. If you are so established, don't do your own web design.
