Website look generally good to me, like the colours, layout etc. The wedding planner was one of the featured products on the homepage when I landed there, and it looked a bit odd having the block caps red 'cannot be delivered outdside the uk' message there.

I couldn't see a phone number on the site, would give me more confidence if it was there that I could call and ask questions, especially about personalised items, or if something was to go wrong.

The light purple is pretty, but I found it hard on my eyes to read the light purple text on the white background and the white text on the light purple background. I noted when you go to the description page for a product, that they are worth "loyalty points." What are they? You don't explain it anywhere that I could obviously find.

thanks for your feedback.

I will try to see if I can create a bigger contrast between the two colours so that it makes it easier to read.

The loyalty points are explained in the Help section but maybe the link is not obvious enough so I will try do to something for this too.

Personally, I like the site, it has a nice feel to it, it 'clicks' thru well, nice and quick. adding items to the cart is simple and when I did so, I did not see an issue with the https connection. The currency converter is a nice feature and seems to work flawlessly. Overall I think you did a really nice job on the website.

The only recommendation that I would make would be to list a phone number prominently on top of the website so that customers could call you. Even when you click on the 'Contact Us' it gives you an e-mail form, but no number.

I will look into how I could add a phone number on the website (maybe find a company to answer the phone calls) because at the moment I do this part time until the website picks up enough for me to do it full time so I cannot answer the phone call during the day.

I agree ... you've done a great job, it's really pretty, works well and looks inviting and appealing. The only thing I'd add is a phone number which can be really important for your customers when they want to talk to you.

I thought your color scheme was beautiful. Good job! The golds compliment the purple very well and the purple is pastel enough to not be overbearing. Really, really nice.

Add a Toll-Free telephone number. They're inexpensive and serve to build a much higher level of trust. It'll make you more money than it'll ever cost you.

I don't like having to provide my email address before I create a customer account. Don't know why but it throws me off. I'd venture it has the same effect on others as well.

I enter my (bogus) email address (click)
I enter a password and confirm (click)

Now I see my email address in the shipping form. I'm on my third checkout page and only the email address field has been pre-populated. There are two too many pages in the checkout process.

Keep it simple. If there's nothing in the email address page preventing me from entering a bogus address, what's the point? Look for a more streamlined method to checking out. You should be able to ask for all the info you need in the shipping page.

See for yourself. Do a quick Google search for "one page checkout" and make a few test purchases.

i liked the site from a design perspective (clean and inviting). i would find the navigation better, if the links highlighted/changed on rollover.

as far as a phone number, it is inexpensive (in the us) to get a toll free number that includes an IVR (menu system) that can go to voicemail or forward to another number (cell/mobile). i pay less than $15 per month, and it give my sites credibility

also, you spelled personalised wrong (just kidding!)

Thank you all for your feedback.

I will take your suggestions on board and have already started to make some changes.

I will be adding a phone number soon so my customers will be able to order over the phone and ask for general enquiries. (I have found a company that will do that for me)

thanks again

Looks good. Although the background is a little busy. Maybe you could fade the image abit..and send it back into the background.. Also the color scheme is nice and "delicate". its almost too pale.

Good design though and nice site over all

I like it. Seems easy to navigate, the checkout process seems straightforward, everything was easy for me to read and loaded quickly.

One thing that seemed a little... I don't know how to explain it really, but I am not a big fan of the "This site is 100% secure" - even though the idea is explained on the secure site page, I don't think it will occur to a lot of potential consumers to click through to that explanation page. Right now, it looks like this statement is an unverified claim, you are just saying your site is secure and leaving it at that. I would probably be more reassured by a third party seal.

Honestly, I think I would even be more reassured by seeing the "Secured by Thawte" seal at the bottom of the page - the seal has brand recognition, and you can display the "third-tier" version of the seal on non-encrypted pages.

You might even consider taking that idea a step further, and putting the logo near the checkout button on the shopping cart page instead of or in addition to having it at the bottom of the page.

Not really sure why someone posted above about using VeriSign instead - Thawte is the second oldest and second largest SSL provider in the world, and is in fact a subsidiary of VeriSign.

thanks again for all your suggestions.

Wige, I was not sure myself about having the "This site is 100% secure" I think I will change it and add the Thawte seal.
I was thinking to register to have the "Internet Shopping is Safe" seal (Internet Shopping is Safe - ISIS) I don't know if it really helps to make more sales...

I will also have to work at adding some content and work on my keywords for the search engines and I still have more products to add ...so still a lot of work.

Some simple advice - instead of "Need to call us?" in the header, why not just put your phone number? Save people a step and increase leads.
