Default What do you think of our new website?

Hi everyone !
Please review matrixnmedia.com. I've just set up my new website and wanted to hear your opinion about it.

Thought your site looked really good - fresh, clean and professional with lots of information. The only downside was your portfolio page which took absolutely ages to load, and then I got 'A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly' so eventually I aborted and didn't see the page. I'd see this is a real negative as it would put me off using your services if design has taken preference over usability.

Other than that though I thought the site looked real great!

Already reviewed this site in another forum, gave feedback and on that other post you had regarding this site you said it was a long established website with lots of sales.

You made no changes in the past few days.

Seams to me you're just advertising your url.. this is a really slow way to get additional sales but I guess your getting a couple here and there.

This is not the way to do it.

Pfft!

on broadband the portfolio loaded for a few minutes and I finally gave up waiting. Said 100% the whole time. Not a good way to advertise as a web designer, if your own site doesn't work.

Credibility? I was very patient waiting for your portfolio. I never saw the page. My PC locked up and when I finally got the taskmaster it wouldn't work for a while and then my Firefox crashed. I had to reboot to get back here. You have serious problems there. Up to that point and even now I think your site is very professional. The color scheme is very good as is the navigation. Fix the portfolio page or break it into several pages or what ever it takes 'cause you are shooting your self in the foot if you want people to pay you for web design and graphic like that.

Hello matrix 100. If you can, could you elaborate as to what the problems are. To say there is problems isn't helping anyone. I appreciate anyone's input positive or negative. That is the whole idea of this thread, otherwise you are just wasting space.
Thank you very much for your time.

Yikes. The portfolio has several problems. First, the fact that it loads a mostly empty window and then waits for user action is less than ideal. The portfolio, I think, needs to give the user some sort of feedback as soon as it has loaded prompting the user to select a section.

Next, the sections are way too big. It took four minutes for one of the galleries to load, and then the count started going haywire so I cancelled it. I would have just enough items in there to get my point across - 10 or 15, not 150. The gallery should be viewable in 15 seconds or less, or nobody is going to bother. And judging by the comments here, nobody does.

Finally, it seems like the portfolio punishes the user for exiting - after cancelling the portfolio after loading about halfway, the site became unusable - no other links on the page would function.

Clicking the 'XHTL' logo showed that none of the pages I tried actually validated.

I find having three different menus, 4 if you count the bottom and no 'home' item is not intuitive...
