I am looking to see how easy is it for you to find what you want on our new site and then go through the checkout process. Was any part of the site confusing or did anything stop you from continuing through the process? It just went live this week so I can really still work with the developer to make some good changes.

Multiple buttons of black text, dark maroon background muddle the layout. I'd test checkout as a guest with register. You have to divulge details either way, seems irrelevant. Itegrate Login with the Register option.

I didn't bother with filling in details, nor will most reviewers (you'll need user testing for that). However, it looks about average.

couple things that I find confusing/annoying

Check out as Guest
While I know what it means, many customers won't. You might want to change that message to something like "check out without registering"

If you're only selling to customers in the US, you need to make that more obvious prior to customers going through the shopping process and entering the checkout.

No one appreciates having their time wasted. Better to avoid that at the outset and let Canucks know they can't shop at your store than to have them find out midway though the checkout process.

To this end, you may want to revise the following field labels as well as the information on your shipping page

• State/Province *
• Zip/Postal Code *
• Country * (This is redundant. If you only ship within the US, why have the country field?)

You're missing a Privacy Policy. You need to tell customers what you do with and how you protect their personal and payment information.

Other than that, it's a pretty well thought out system. Nice page layouts, nice product photos. Products are easy enough to find and I like the zoom feature.

As an aside, it's not clear that this site is part of the Moriarty business, at least not until one digs around a bit. I see the shop photo and you mention the owners but why not capitalize on the experience, reputation and business name you've already established? I'd suggest changing the logo to include "Moriarty's"

I think the checkout is fine. It did not confuse me. I do wonder how many carts are getting abandoned on 'Ring Size'?

That might be a sticking point because many people may not know their ring sizes off the top of their head. Is there something that you could add to the website where people could reliably estimate their ring size? Just some food for thought.

Be sure to develop your own! Save it as a PDF with your logo, URL and contact information.
