Default Custom t-shirts page conversions

Hi all,

the page in question is here.

We've currently started an adwords campaign for 'custom t-shirt', which has driven a decent bit of traffic to the page. We've only had a couple of quote submissions though (if you pick a shirt on that page, it takes you to the detail page with the form on it).

I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for increasing conversions...is there anything missing? Is there anything there that shouldn't be there? Improvements?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

  1. Where do you ship? I live in the digital age, so I have no time to click.
  2. Your identity could have been better. I think I am the only one that use the full name in my signature here at WPW

Okay, I'll add info about shipping anywhere in North America.

Thanks!

Any other suggestions?

Because you sell so many kinds of product the t-shirt content get s a bit overwhelmed by all the other options. Not sure what you can do about that though. One thing I'd eliminate is your www validatation buttons. Who cares? How does that make your t-shirts better? It doesn't so get rid of it.

The other featured items on the right column should only be t-shirt /apparel related.

I'd probably ad some additional info such as:

1. Are these digital heat tranfers or traditional silk screened (if it's silk screened I'd brag about it)
2. Do you do all the printing or outsource it (if it's in house I'd brag about it.
3. How about a big "call now to talk to our sales rep"

As an ecommerce page it's decent. As an Adwords landing page it's just got too many unrelated stuff getting in the way. These distractions put unanswered question in the customer's mind. This results in poor conversions. Plus t-shirt printing is going to get a lot of tire kickers as it's a price sensitive commodity and people do a lot of shopping around or just are just plain doing research.

Nice store, with a nice design. Just one thing though not sure if it is only my browser acting up. In firefox it gets displayed funny. The sides of the page are kind of cut off, I can't see the whole sidebars for some reason. Might just be my firefox that is acting up. You might want to test it though in a firefox browser and make sure everything is alright.

Yeah, I agree. I'm actually working on a new website to replace this one, and the first order of business is to simplify the layout. Unfortunately it's gonna take a while to put it together!

I'm thinking i'm just going to completely get rid of the right side bar for now...just kinda seems to complicate things.

Thought that was clear on the details page, but evidently not! I'll beef up the 'screen printing' copy a bit.

Did you give my 'Create a quote' form a go? Our prices are very competitive, and the idea was to make it as simple as possible to get a price quickly.

I always develop in FF and then fix for the others, namely IE. I have heard of the edges getting cut off by another person, but on all the systems I've checked it on have never experienced it myself. Perhaps you've got your monitor clipping the edges off?

Thanks for taking a look folks...keep 'em coming!

K, as per suggestion I have stripped some of the unnecessary clutter away from the custom t-shirt pages, and beefed up the 'screen print' text.

Let me know if you feel it helps focus!

Thanks again.

It 's amazing what just a few changes can do. Much better. Now all I see are t-shirts. I hardly notice anything else.

Excellent. This however begs the question: Would you order t-shirts from us (if you were of course looking for them)?

Yes, now I would definitely bookmark your site and add it to my short list if I were looking for t-shirts.

This site is well designed but It seems that the left menu part is hidden by screen board.

Would somebody be able to provide a screen shot of this? I haven't seen it on any of the systems I've developed or tested on.

It'd be appreciated.

Thanks to all for the input, and the bookmarks!

I can read all text on the menu tabs but there is an effect that the part of tabs is hidden.

Okay, so nothing's ACTUALLY cut off, it just looks like the edge is.

Thanks!

I guess just one more question: Is it obvious what we're offering when you hit the landing page?

Thanks again to all for helping out...it's greatly appreciated.

Yes, it appears both the menus are cut off.

they aren't, but it looks like they are.
I keep wanting to scroll over to see if I'm missing something.
Maybe style the outside of the menus the same as the inside?
Also, center the headings, ink spot hangs to the right, admin, ebay hang too far to the left.
Overall the site looks great.

Integrate a decent Ecommerce system for your site.

That's perhaps the reason why your conversion is low. People just want to click everything and just enter what is needed.

No problem with the site - functionality and usability seemed alright. You just have to have a payment gateway for easy purchasing.
