Default www.sublimebikinis.com - review request

Hi,

I've recently been making small changes to my site to make navigation easier, but have noticed that my traffic has gone down over the last few weeks.

Can anyone offer their opinion?

Any ideas and criticisms are very welcome!

http://www.sublimebikinis.com

(this site contains bikinis, so if you're easily offended stay away...ha ha )

Thanks.

Tested in IE6 56k modem 800x600. Loads nice and fast. Web ring doesn't appear to exist. Otherwise, a nice design. Good luck with it.

Default site review

Hi Flo,
First off, I am no expert by any means. I am very new to this.

The first thing that caught my eyes was the bikinis...go figure.

Besides that, one thing that might help the overall feel is to separate the view product detail and add to basket buttons a little. Maybe move the add to basket button down a little. Since you have a lot of pages, I would suggest changing the add button's picture file. If you would add a small band of black, the background color, to the top above the button, the buttons would appear to be spaced apart. This way all you would have to do is upload the new button pic and it should take effect on all your pages.

Another thing I noticed is the site navigation.
I would try to clean up the left side a little. It's nice to have access to specific items, however a huge list is sometimes intimidating. Maybe try using some drop down menus. I used them on my site. Check out my site and you'll see what I mean. Just move the mouse over the different menu choices and a menu will appear which will take you to specific areas.

Other than that it seemed to function great. And like I said I am no expert. Feel free to critique my site also. I would appreciate it. I have a topic listed in this forum.

Good Luck,
Ted

Hi Ted,

Thanks for the great advice, you're right about changing the buttons.
(Once i work out how to design drop-down menus i'll get onto them too...i'm such an amatuer heh heh heh)

This site is always helpful - best web design site i've found yet!
