Home page creates a great impression. Logo is wonderful.

May I suggest either combining the menus that appear above and below the logo or giving them the same format, that of the upper one. Also, I reckon it's worth trying them centred.

How about trying a light grey instead of the black for the surrounds. I think the black may be deadening the feel a bit.

When I use FF 3.0.5 or IE7 to follow the Trees link, for example, I see a tiny Trees as a heading for the page. I am sure this is not what you intend.

Regards, David.

It's a nice layout with plenty of clean, clear readable content and it's easily navigated.

I realize that you're using WordPress but you need to revise your page titles to include keywords and keyphrases. As a title, "Gardenscope" is of no significant benefit unless that's what the user is searching for.

This seems odd to me: Great Garden Gifts | GardenScope

The little squares under some of the links seem like check boxes. I find them a little confusing. You might also consider making it a bigger priority of telling users that these links lead off your site to an online store though. I felt tricked until I'd read the content in the first few paragraphs.

You might also consider changing "About" to "Contact". That's one thing your users will be looking for and they'll get frustrated if they're not able to find if easily.

I'd tend to think gardeners would be happy to help each other with questions, tips, advice and user submitted photos. I'd urge you to consider building a community environment by adding a forum where users can participate versus being perceived as more of an informational site where users can read articles and leave a reply.

Great design! I really like it; however, I do agree with "dmwcons" comment regarding the menus and would suggest the same change.
