Looking for feedback, comments, suggestions, etc..

http://www.fitchmedia.com

This is my portfolio site, things that are missing that I know of are:

1. Resume downloads are inactive.
(thats on purpose for now, still working.)

2. The mp3 section is not finished as well. other than that, looking for compatibility and overall opinion.

Thanks in advance.

Default website critique

Interesting design, but I am wondering how the general public might react to the "criminal" aspect of your site. It just doesn't come across as very professional, to me. I can appreciate the creativity you put into your site design, but I think prospective clients might be looking for something more serious in nature.

Very good & original web design.
When you know how to build such a site you can do really anything.

In some aspects I agree with the previous post.

I like it alot.

I usually scan sites, especially this late at night, but I actually read through much of your site.

Excellent design. I think that the criminal element may be a concern but probably not. The design is crisp and tight and it communicates well the attention to detail and artistic flair that you have. It is very showy without being ostentatious. I like the cross-through on the spent links (nice touch)!

Excellent job!

Default Thanks guys.

I appreciate all your feedback. You guys are dead on. Thanks for the kind words as well.

As far as the "criminal element" concern:

I understand completely and pondered this as well.
Im actually an Art Director. I just happen to specialize in marketing and web development. Therefore my audience isnt a web company. My audience would be more of a Ad/Design firm. In this circle creativity and concept seem to score more points than a "usable" site. Although i'm very familiar with usability and such, and build out most client sites with that in mind. In my case, I need a creative edge. And im actually playing on the criminal aspect for one reason.

If you see something that you dont think you should be reading...you read it. same thing when you pass a car wreck. And then I figured.."Whats a portfolio site anyway?" its where people go to "investigate" you and your background. therefore if I make it look "criminal" it sparks interest and makes them actuallly read my site. at least thats what im hoping for. either way I have a good job..just wanted to actually finish a personal site instead of doing everyone elses.

You guys rock..THANK YOU.
