very nice site... navigates well, loads quickly.. and it is informative and almost very professional looking.
I have only a few comments to make.
1. you must have a link to HOME on every page... havine a viewer use the back feature is not professional... I did not check to see if the logo links to home, but if it does, that is not sufficient.
2. the left side of some of your pages looks bare.. on those pages that don't have links, try moving the photo up higher.
3. you should have text links on the bottoms of the pages, so viewers won't have to scroll back to the top to navigate.
4. you do not have any meta tags...
5. I did not check, but you should have alt tags on all your graphics.

Nice site, easy navigation, but your text is hard to read as it is so light. Can you darken it some?

Also...on your Vacancies page, you say you will have openings listed on your Vacancies page. Well, I was at the Vacancies page and there were no listings. Does that sentence belong elsewhere on your site?

What is the purpose of your site? Just to establish a web presence, or what? I didn't see any indication that you were interested in acquiring new patients.

the vacancies page has a pretty clear link to the central university vacancies pages - but as your having difficulty reading the text maybe you didnt see it?

the purpose of the site is to publisize the research work of the institute to medical practitioners worldwide, and to attract postgraduate research students. if you'd looked under the research section you'd see some pretty in depth infornation about a wide range of aspects of cancer research. the target audience would more than likely expect and understand the information presented.

I really like the look and feel of the design. Excellent use of texture From the pinstripe to the dapple!

The only thing that really stood out to me from a design stand point is that you have links on the homepage that are not on the top page navigation.

The flow chart of your site is not apparent from your link structure. I should be able to navigate to anywhere on your site without returning to the home page.

Also as mentioned above. I understand what you are saying about the purpose of your site, but I think the home page does not communicate as well as it could the overall purpose of the site. It just seems like an info sheet with no compelling reason to stay.

Again, I really enjoyed the feel of the site! Good job.
