I was forced to abandon the site download after 45 seconds. I thought this due to heavy graphics -- at first. Refreshing the page twice more got it to finally load. (MSIE 6)
Navigation is a little unusual, but seems to make sense. There simply isn't much content to evaluate. Nor is there a compelling unique reason for doing business with you. You may want to select one or two things with which you can innovate ...show the strengths of PHP and that sort of thing.
Your site looks okay, but you might want to check on how it loads. The site needs compelling content, and a proposition unique to you.

Thanks DCrux
The speed issue is a bit of a puzzle, It might be the web ring link, but probably not as that only effectively slows the loading of the last part of one page.
Point taken about content however, and Im working on that, as a software developer who usually sells service by word of mouth, the need to think like a marketer (value proposition) is new and a little alien to me (i will get it eventually).
Why do you call the navigation unusual? I wrote it, so maybe im a little too close to see what you mean.
Thanks again for the review, much appreciated.
To anyone else reading this, do you have load problems?
I have tested in Opera7.03 and MSie5.5, and have had friends look at the site and they (unprompted) said it was fast. Stats say an average bulk of 24kb per visit which is small (as per design).
looking forward my next review.

Yep, loading problems here too
It appeared to halfload then just ... stop (on IE6) - I was waiting to be dazzled by graphics, but nothing happened.
The text on the navigation buttons appears to be strangely off-centre, or is that just me?
Content definitely required - there's no point in simply expecting people to accept how good you are, you've got to show them - even if only with links to previous projects.
Nice colour scheme!

The load time was slow, yes. If I was on 56K it would have been fine, but for a cable modem, that sucker should've flew right in.
Kill the webring link if you think it is causing the drag. Whatever traffic it is sending (if it is any) is going to waste because of the load time.
The upper left corner needs something. You should develop a logo... as is, that plain text is a snoozer. I like the color scheme. Very clean and simple, but nothing on the site is exciting or pops.

IE6 testing comming soon
Looks like I need to do some testing using IE6, as it seems to be the common factor, No the button text should not be strangely off center. And thats now 2 people with load issues (im removing the webring link as i continue to suspect it)
DCrux: I was going to return the favor and review your web site but.. umm.. well.. i'm hopelessly outclassed here. I wonder if its possible to downgrade ones self from newbie to RankAmateur
Thanks all.

Well
Starting at the top, you really need a logo. Something that sticks in your head. Since your site is brief it could really benefit from some nice graphics.
Im not getting the text area on the feedback page?
Is that a mishap :)
You should really have forms for subscribing and feedback, even if no one uses them itwould demonstrate your ability, send an email with xxx in the message looks like a cheep fix, and would probably shun a potential client.
Overall your site is a good start, but not quite ready for prime time. Easy to navigate and get around.

2 birds with one stone
Gotta agree with Alan on two points. You need to think about getting a logo designed (see what a difference one can make www.artlover.net/designPortfolio/index.html, otherwise your company name appears to be little more than a page header. Once you have a logo, your visitors can click on it to get back to the HOME page. Logo links to HOME are becoming more and more popular. And the dialogue box on the forms page looks kinda foreign with that programming language inside. Surely that was an oversight... :/
BTW, why are you giving the penguin and powered by PHP so much real estate on your web pages? It almost appears that those elements are more important than anything else on the page.

Thanks all
i Agree a Logo is needed, a temp logo is in place till a really good one can be created.
php logo now relegated to links and penguin to north pole. Im not sure why i put them on so many pages, as i often criticise others for the same thing.
I initially avoided forms for subscribe, because i thought the email was easier for user,
what is best here? Perhaps both?
i hear i have programming language inside the dialogue box on the forms page.
Please can someone cut and paste that into the forum for me, because I dont see it.
i guess i really need to find an ie6 pc for testing,
and its time to add more content

question: Why did I say the nav is "unusual"?
The separator line between buttons vanishes on hover. Hover over Services, it now looks like Introduction Services as there is no line between them. Again, this is MSIE 6. Checking back to the site with Opera 7.11, this didn't happen. It appears to be a MSIE (6 only??) thing.

Nice colors
I like the simplicity of the site. I do agree wtih making your services stand out from others offering the same thing.
I hae ie6.0 and it worked fine on my system (cable).
You may want to consider removing the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom. Statistically surfers don't like it.
Overall I like the feel of your site.

Look & Feel
Look and feel I like, easy to navigate, nice colour scheme and graphics, no speed problems, mie6, netscape.
what I don't do is the scrollbar on the bottom, personal preference I suppose. My opinion scrolling down is fine scolling across is a schlepp. The white thing above the vertical scrollbar also not aesthetically nice to look at.
Content needs some beefing up though, it's too point driven, needs some bla bla bla in it( www.photocats.com excused from my analogy), when I spend time on a site I want to read what they are about, and what they do in detail, personal preference again I suppose. Points are good just not the whole site.
Cool links page and menu, I myself drop links in one bath-tub, easier to manage.
Other than that I like the site.
