Please review my site at Buy GSM Cell Phones Unlocked - GSM Mobile Unlocked Phone - Cellular Phones Wholesale & Retail - Digital Cameras - Wireless Products
I want to know what you think about overall design and also on an SEO standpoint if the categories and navigation bar are listed okay. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you p.s. I know I should remove the google ad from the top left of page. Will do it in a few hours. |

Too many, WAY TOO MANY! products on your home page.
Site takes MUCH too long to finish loading. I'm on a T1 connection. On your home page, you'd do well to trim your featured products table down to about six items and be sure to include "Add To Cart" and "More Info" buttons/links to each item. .02

Dubbya is spot on. The site is overwhelming with products on the home page and I'd trim it up a bit.
See if you can make the site not have to scroll down so much. Other than that, the site looks good and the urls for the products are jammed packed.. might be too much

Your site is not rendering correctly in FireFox (v3), and throws errors. I agree with the other comments about too much "stuff" on your home page.
Also, pay attention to where the page folds are for different screen resolutions. I think you should also go over the different screen items and note how much your site visitors would really care about each item. For example are your "McAfee Secure" and "Buy Safe" icons really that important to hold such a prominent place on the page? Also, your three black "buttons" across the top-right imply that they can be clicked by their design and labels. i.e. What vare the "Free Accessories" I'll get with my order. What exactly is your "Lowest Price Guarantee"? Is it real or hyperbole? What are the "Hottest Phones of the Season"? I want to click and see them. There's quite a bit more tweaks to be done, but then, that's why I get paid the big bucks for website usability analysis. |

Thank you very much for your response and critique. I know that there's much to be done to the site and I am not a pro at site usability. I also know that my site is more than 100K on the home page and should not be more than around 75K ) i read that somewhere that google will stop indexing pages that are too big.) How do I decrease that amount? How can I get help from someone like you that charges big bucks? You dont have anything in your signature about your company or website.
I would like to know more. Thank you |

Personally, I think it's a bit much and not very User friendly. I am not an expert, but here are my thoughts:
I agree about the McAfee and BuySafe info at the top of the site where it's using some very important placement. That could be put on the shopping cart page, or at the bottom like the corner gif you have there that stays put. or on the footer. Consider having links at the top of the site for Home, Best deals, etc. on the red bar you have at the top so they will stand out a bit more. I missed them completely until I looked at the site for the 4 time... Also, my biggest peve is when I have to not only scroll down, but scroll side to side to see the entire site. I view at 800x600 so I can read it without my glasses. So you may want to re-visit the idea of using %'s instead of fixed widths. You can limit your widths with min and max in the CSS. I don't know much about Java scripts, buy I thought the point of using style sheets is that you can put your JavaScripts on one and just reference it to load, decreasing the amount of coding your site has. *(if someone would like to educate me, then I will look forward to an answer in this post) Loading is a bit slow, but then again I'm only on a 386upload DSL service. Hey, at least it's not dial up. :') Also, I too am using FF3 and the left column at the top, your search over laps the Wirefly box. If you add a style .clear make it a height of 1px and use it at the bottom of the Wirefly div, then it should fix this problem for you. Moving your text info(We Specialize....) up would help in search terms since that is where all of your "content" is. You may also look into adding mouse over info with your images, or blind mode. There seems to be an awful lot of white space at the bottom of the center column due to your left column extending further than the center and Right columns. Maybe putting some of those logo images on the footer would save you some vertical scrolling. Instead of having the black links at the top, which do not link to anything, why not move them stacked in the right column and free up some space at the top of the site? They seem to me to go better with your "best Price Offer" and the "track fone offer" as well. It may also even up your columns a bit... Ok, enough picking this to death. Bottom line is that it's a really nice site otherwise. If you are a newbe, then in my Opinion you're doing pretty darn well! Cheers~!

Wow thanks for that critique too. I am a newbie in site design and this info is great. I will sit down and do some work. I will notify you guys when the fixing is done and would like to hear how I did.
Thanks a lot. |
