Default Please review Corsican and Sardinian Places

Hi,

It'd be great to have some expert eyes cast over two site re-designs we've launched over the last couple of days. All criticisms welcome.

http://www.sardinianplaces.co.uk
http://www.corsica.co.uk

Cheers

Matt

Main menu does NOT display correctly in Firefox 3 under Mac OS X.

I don't care for the olive drab background.

Other than that, I really like it.

Corsica Holidays, Villas, Hotels and Apartments with Corsican Places

'Tight' website. Professional, well done. I only mention this precisely because it IS well done. You have some minor pixellation on the pics, the text 'Sardinia - the heart of the Mediterranean' (which you have in white on the pics), it bleeds a little into the background pic. Its a nitpick...I have pics with pixellation too, so I am one to talk, again I am only mentioning this because of the overall high quality of the presentation.

Is it possible to pull any of that JavaScript into an external .js file - there's reams of it and it will be slowing down your download times, as well as slightly affecting the efficiency with which your website is indexed by the SEs (ever so slightly, but still worth sorting out).

Hi and thanks for the positive response - I'll pass on the design points to the relevant people.

"Is it possible to pull any of that JavaScript into an external .js file - there's reams of it and it will be slowing down your download times, as well as slightly affecting the efficiency with which your website is indexed by the SEs (ever so slightly, but still worth sorting out)."

We have actually got as much of the JS in a .js file as possible but have external components that emit dynamic JavaScript on the fly - it's a shame but I'm not sure there is much else we can do with that.

Cheers

Matt
