Default 5 out of 10 but easily improved

First page does not tell you what it is that you do. The Title bar is nice but I would replace it with a logo/slogan.

Tone this
Please note: Prior to placing an order, you must be registered with PayPal . If you already have a PayPal account please do not re-register!
down buy using a graphic and moving it off to the side. It is not the first thing you want users to see.

Try grouping your nav items by category in a way that makes sense to the user. (Company, Products, links)

Hey, I'm all about supporting our nation but I'd rethink the placement of that logo as well

Stay away from centered or justified text

Your bracelets page is empty so comment out the nav for it

Try putting similar products together in a page like
misc beeds, glass beeds, pewter beeds.

Some of the images like the walking stick are way to small, can't really see what is going on.

Well,
I'll stop, I think that should keep youi busy for a while.

Please recipricate

Default site review

Hello Theresa,
I agree with alanh. I would suggest some hyperlinked photos of your products on each page. perhaps you can sort them by groups. I would do the same with your nav bar. Try to draw the customer to your product pages. You need to state what it is you are selling and why the customer should purchase from you. What separates you from the crowd? Highlight it, do you have experience at bead craft, can you offer advice and experience, better prices, etc.
I am new at this,so when I begin work on a new site I search through sites that I like. If they are easy to navigate, well designed etc. I follow their format.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Default Bible Coated Beads?

Okay, whether or not I'm interested in god, the biggest thing on your website (where my eye wants to go most) is the "one nation under god" banner. Is your business politics? Don't disillusion potential clients by making your site political. You could lose 50% of your clientele automatically. Unless you refuse to sell to atheists/buddhists/hindus/agnostics/whatever.

Secondly, there's nothing on your home page short of your logo and navbar that say anything about your business. Tell me why I want to buy from you and what makes you better than the next bead-selling website.

Thirdly, your menu bar's roll-over color choice is bad. You lose readability. Also, the menu bar has too many options. Too many options reduces your usability, which reduces your sales. On some menu choices you only have a few items? what's the point? lump them into the same category (i.e. precious metals, bracelets).

Lastly, the picture thumbnails and enlarged picture quality is low. The items are not lit correctly and spend little or no time in photoshop.

Spend money to make money. Golden Site Award?

Default web page

I fully agree with Digital, as soon as I seen the page I was turned of by nothing about what you do only telling me I must have paypal, which I havent got. show some of your products on the front page and explain why there the best, and yes the purple navigation color is abit much, maybe the blue in the flag might be nice?

Default At first glance

Revise your title bar.
Change the cell mouseover color, purple is terrible
Connect the links on the left...

I dont' like first page. Purple color is not good for your site. Also the the left menu I think you need to do smaller. You can see the site http://www.compusa.com

Best regards.

Default Site Review

Would agree with much of what was stated above and add.

Header ~ needs to be centered.

Page Resolution ~ needs to be percentage based to allow proper fit in multiple resolutions. As likewise does the header.

Homepage needs a title ~ not simply "Home". It should likewise be centered.

Pay Pal data ~ on the Order blank, and in order shipping info. Unless you are selling Pay Pal, they shouldn't be top center of your homepage!

Homepage needs text content ~ or the Search Engines will never find you. Not to mention your prospective customer will never know what you are about. Aside from the product I found nothing to tell me who you are, what you do, or why I should buy the product from you instead of others. Offering said information up to your customers instills trust in you and your product.

Menu needs organization ~ I can live with the Lavendar mouseover effect, but... beads should be a single category with the different types of beads shown in subcategories. Likewise for bracelets, and for supplies and findings. It would make much more sense, and shorten your menu considerably.

On your address and e-mail addresses bottom of the page, find the center alignment button and use that rather than trying to line items up with the space bar. Alignment is lost in different monitor resolutions when you space bar align, because the spaces are different sizes, and thus the number of spaces per line change. Also, try holding the Shift Key down and hit enter at the end of your lines of text, that should install a break (or
in the html), and eliminate the blank lines between your text on the address.

Order/Shipping Info ~ The pink text is a bit much! Try black.

Hate to be overly critical of the site Theresa, as I'm sure everyone above did, but if you plan to do business with the site, it needs a more professional appearance to sell your product. The comments offered here in the forum are issues that need to be addressed to give it that appearance.

I agree with all the above post.

You have 5 seconds to tell your visitor what you sell and why they should buy from you.

A nice logo goes a long ways.

It looks like everything has been covered.
