Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
Hi everybody.
I'll be very greatlful if some of you can give me your opinion about my site http://ClickCutter.com and especially about the product I offer there.
briefly: I'ts an automation tool which can be used by many computer users which saves a lot of time by automating some operations such as copy/paste with no mouse clicks, easy browsing the Internet ( helping opening textual non-clickable URLs or e-mails with just one clicks), and one click instant Internet search/research from any document.
Is the site design and the product presentation are clear enough? Is there anything which you do not like? In short anything which can help me to improve it.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Not very exciting.
No Mac OS X version of the product.
Layout is messed up in Firefox.

Re: Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
Thanks. I checked it in Firefox 3 and it appears absolutely fine. What exactly is messed up?
Anyone else has the messed up layout in firefox?
The product was not made for Mac but I got reports that it works fine on Windows for MAc.

Re: Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
Thanks Keimos,
The demo is intended to be used after a visitor reads at least FAQ and Features. And of course, video is helpful too to see what the tool is about.
Click Cutter as any other automatic tool is for lazy people . Why click 10 times when you can click only once and get the same result.
I personally use it numerous times on a daily basis so I was curious if other people could find it useful too.

Hi Click Clutter,
Guess I am a lazy reader of instructions as well.
Maybe something to sort out?

Re: Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
Hey Keimos,
Since click cutter is an automatic tool The instructions are useful as they guide a user a bit.
Generally the tool is very easy to use. But you need to adopt to it a bit because it does the things completely different way. usually it takes just a couple of minutes to adopt.
For example, most people do copy and paste via right and left mouse clicks. With Click Cutter you do not have to click at all.
Just highlight text or image you want to copy while still holding left button at the end of hihglighted text without movement for half a second (until you see "c" near your cursor) and then release the button and it will be automatically copied to clipboard. The same with paste. Click where you want to paste and keep holding the left button untill you see "p" near your cursor. Release the button and it will pasted on that spot.
Or if, for example, you want to do a search for a product you came across in an e-mail or in an article you were reading. So all you do is just highlight this product name and hit a button. The search results for that product will be automatically opened. (BTW, While typing this message I just did a search for Keimos and found 14,000 results in google). That's the fastest possible way you can do a search.
Therefore, you do not need to make numerous clicks to copy text, open browser with search form, paste your text and hit Search button.
Another example. In your signature there are 3 URLs. For any person it will take at least 6 clicks to open them all because you can open only one website at a time either in a direct window and then click Back to return to this page (to open another URL) or open it in a new window/tab which will take 2 clicks ( right and left) for each website. so either way it takes 2 clicks for each website. And if a person is lazy it's too much work for him.
With click cutter I just highlight them all and open all 3 with just one click. So being lazy I still can see all your websites (which I just did) with very little effort. And , btw, you never know where i came from because non-of your websites logs will show referrer (webproworld) for my visit.
The same way I open search results in google or any other SE. I just highlight first 10 results (including text) and hit a button. And guess what. I have all 10 websites opened so i can quickly check them all. I saved myself 20 clicks.
May be it's not a big deal for those who wants to click, click, click, click .... click and more clicks.
For me it is a big deal and that is why I do the things with just one click.
So I'm still waiting for any brave takers to try click cutter and give me their opinion.

Re: Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
Hi Click Cutter, what a neat idea! I will pass your url on to my admin to see what he thinks.
There are a few things to comment about design and the code.
Here is a link to help you with the code. The W3C Markup Validation Service. It will tell you that the DOCTYPE is missing and will give you information to help you choose one for your page.
If you select the ‘Show Outline’ feature it will give you the outline reflected by the h1 – h6 tags. The outline will only show if there are no errors found. These tags can help with SEO as well as help those who use readers to get your content so it is worth using them correctly.
They can be styled using CSS and W3C has information and tutorials to help with that at this link, HTML STYLE TAG. Use their search box for more techniques such as using a background image in the h1 tag and more.
The bottom of the page is not lining up with the main content of the page in FireFox so by getting the errors fixed this should straighten up.
Also I noticed that the background image for the page is repeating there towards the bottom so the image should either be lengthened or put some of that text on another page if it isn’t already.
The Video page goes wAy out of line and should be fixed to match the home page.
One thing to consider when designing is that FireFox adheres to the code rules better than IE so design using firefox and then check in it in IE or else Explorer will make you think it is fine because it is so forgiving of errors but it really isn’t fine as far as the other browsers are concerned.
Oh, the title is really too long, about 65 characters (not counting spaces) is recommended. Short and to the point.

Re: Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
Thanks Clicken.
I'm glad you liked the tool idea. I hope your admin will like it too.
I did check the website in firefox (v.3) and I do not see any major problems. Video page appears OK too. Probaly need to see it from other location.
Could it be monitor related (size, resolution, wide screen) ?

Re: Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
I use FireFox portable, resolution 1280x1024. IE shows the same problem.
It has been my experience that fixing the code errors will clear up minor problems such as the footer being out of line at the bottom of your home page. The best place to start tracking down a problem is validating the code.
Without a DOCTYPE to tell a browser how to render the page it will use a default method to render the page.

Re: Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
Misterscreenjeans checked the download and has given his approval for me to download. He said the tool was really cool!
He suggested that you consider submitting your tool at http://www.download.com to have it checked and approved by them as they are a trusted site for screening downloads.
I have downloaded it but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. When I went to download I noticed that the privacy policy and terms of use were not on that page, so there’s one more thing for you to do!
Thanks Click Cutter, I am looking forward to using the tool!

Hey Clicken,
I'm very glad Misterscreenjeans liked it. The only question who Misterscreenjeans is. using Click Cutter I did an instant search for Misterscreenjeans and found only 3 references in GG so i could not find out anything about him. Anyway, thanks to him for kind words about Click Cutter.
Thanks for your inputs.
BTW, if you downloaded the program I would advice you to sign up for a notification list as some new updates will be ready some time soon.

Re: Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
I have signed up to receive updates and look forward to seeing those. I haven’t used it yet but I have looked through the Help page and am starting to get familiar with the options. I will give my review of how it works for me when I put it to use.
I am not computer minded and things just take me a little longer to get used to but my husband is Senior IT so that’s why I call him misterscreenjeans. He is always wearing jeans and he is always working on the screen plus he is very good in his field! It is a take from the old Captain Kangaroo TV character, Mr. Green Jeans.

Re: Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
Sorry Click Cutter, nothing to report yet, there wasn’r much time this weekend to work on the computer.
We use Linux at the office and as far as I could tell the program isn’t compatible, Is that correct? If so then is there going to be an upgrade for Linux anytime soon?

Re: Please! review clickcutter.com and the product
Okay CC, I had just a little trouble getting it to copy because I was not holding that highlight while clicking the left mouse button. I have been practicing with it and it is preddy cool! Thanks, I like this tool because I can’t remember keyboard shortcuts!
