Default Please review this new site - Pureoffroad.com

we've been working on getting this website up and running for the past year or so. Please take a look and give us your critique. The website sells ATV accessories, ATV tires and motocross apparel.

You can find us here:

ATV Accessories, motorcycle graphic kits, atv and motorcycle tires from Maxxis, and Itp

thanks

I checked out your page in FireFox 2.

Try to get some more of the CSS styles into your external stylesheet. It'll speed up page loading.

The meta robots tag is completely redundant since following links is what spiders do.

The vertical menu column needs some tweaking to keep the dark gray search box background from poking out into the page content. Same goes for the orange bar which reads "Sign Up for PureNews and Save!".

You're missing <h1> headings. Add one for each page, products and category pages too. <h2>, <h3> headings might be beneficial as well if you can work them in.

Your page title is a little too long for it to be as effective as it could be. Include words that could be used to compose actual search phrases that your prospective customers would use to find your products. Replace "and" with ampersands "&" They get stipped out by the SE's anyway but make the phrase shorter and easier to read.

Something like this might work better.
HTML Code:
<title>Motorcycle & ATV Accessories, helmets, clothing and tires by Maxxis & ITP</title>
Continue to build IBL's (inbound links). You've only got four listed in Google. Try to balance link building efforts between paid, free and reciprocal exchanges only with sites that are related and relevant.

Aside from telling customers that nearly everything ships next day, your shipping information page is pretty useless. Which methods do you use? DHL, UPS, FedEx, USPS? Do you offer free shipping for orders in excess of a certain dollar value? You should, your competitors do.

Your telephone number is almost invisible... as is the text indicating cart contents and the login link. Change the background to help those items stand out more.

Your physical address should be right on your homepage. People don't want to hunt for it.

Consider adding a proper contact form. Simply posting an email address is hokey and unprofessional. Besides, having it out there just makes it easier for errant spambots to harvest.

What forms of payment to you accept? Certified cheque? Cash? Money order? Phone orders? Customers want to know before they add an item to their cart.

Looks like you're all set up to accept credit cards but I'd recommend PayPal as an alternative.

Your shipping page is pretty good!! I'm a big fan of that layout but it seems just a little too crowded. You might do well to add some vertical bars to better define the individual sections.

I'd also recommend that you make a bigger deal of the fact that the site is secure with SSL. It helps build some credibility. Kudos for securing the shipping page and login pages properly. Good job.

Who processes the payments? Which gateway provider are you using? They may have some logos you can add to your site that might be of help.

Take a look at your policies and returns pages. Try formatting them a little better to give your potential clients the impression that you actually care about keeping them happy.
