Can anyone tell me if I am using any spam techniques that I am not aware of. I really want to make my homepage as search engine freindly as possible.

In my opinion:

1. Your title should be benefit + business name. If you can't do benefit, then do feature. Max of 66 characters.

2. The description tag should augment the title tag. Max of 155 characters. Don't be repetitive.

3. The keywords tag should be 8 terms or fewer.

Not sure if a person would call this spammy, cheap or just bad judgment.

The Google ads on the main page. To me it takes away from your offerings. It also takes your visitors to another site. If you must have Google ads do not put them on the main page.

It is like going to a Lowes store and hearing ads for Home Depot on the stores intercom.

davebarns, I was always lead to believe that the meta keywords was not needed.

amxfan, I agree with your comments in relation to adsense. I used to have it at the top of my page and have since lowered down. I think I will be taking your advice and removing these google ads altogether from my homepage. The extra income it dilivers is nice though......

and the "ask for money box" on the bottom.

Let em see what they get first and make em look a little for the privilege of giving you their money.

It will change your sales conversion rate.
Yes It could change your SEO if the page is new. Spiders look lower in sections for the real content.
This can hurt or this can help. It really depends on how long the site has been up. Simple rearangements to a old page are mostly ignored with some points for updating. New pages are looked at more closely.

The real question is, are you most concerned about sales conversions or traffic. Your SEO might get tipped slightly towards selling over buying. This could be a good thing or not.

The site looks pretty decent in my opinion. There are a few elements of the page competing for the visitor's attention, but generally the page looks ok.

You could improve the text formatting in the white boxes (in the body).

I see sites getting away w/ the small text above the design layout, so why not go with it - just use CSS for styling it.

The orange menu at the top kind of gets lost (see previous comment about competing elements) and the spacing between menu items is not consistent.
