Default Domain vs. Subdomain

We recently rolled out a new career community for the internet marketing niche. Our main domain is Internet Marketing Jobs & Resumes (SEO/SEM), but our application is hosted offsite and we have a subdomain pointing to it (Internet Marketing Jobs & Resumes (SEO/SEM)). We also have Web Marketing Recruiter.com | Specializing in Sourcing and Recruiting Internet Marketing Professionals pointing to a TypePad blog. Will Google and the other search engines attribute all these pages across subdomains as part of a single "website" for the main domain?

Thanks for your input!

They probably will, but due to the same title and description there is a danger that they pick up only one version and bury the other, so that's the first thing to do. Good thing, you disabled robots in the subdomain.

Google knows what blogs are, you don't need to exclude any spiders, and yes they will.
Except that google won't see the application page and their is not much (search engine) content on your main page. Your blog is your best bet for content.

If you have your blog on the same server as your main page, it's better if google can spider down through your folders to it, rather than being robots.txt excluded from the folder your blog is in and forced to use the subdomain route access.

That way it's treated like a perfered corporate blog. Other wise use link rel="subsection" in your blog link.
