Default Please review my site - intelligence tests

www.worldofiq.co.cc

This is a site with hundreds of intelligence tests. Some are new some are inspired from the ones on the internet - but you will find here best ones.
The tests are grouped based on their difficulty level from 1 to 100 and each level has several types of questions so two people taking the test won't answer the same questions. The questions from each level are weekly updated so you can't find the answers on the net.

The objective of the WIQ Project is to provide the most accurate IQ test ever created. This Intelligence Test measures not only the quotient of intelligence (IQ) but also the short term memory, the long term memory and other stuff about the brain. Solve all our questions and get listed in our Top of Intelligent People of the World.

I could not (mentally) get past the homepage.
1998 design. Boring.
The graphic of the earth is way too large.

Thanks for the comment. I'll try and adjust it a little until tomorrow. Tell me if you can get past the first page then.

In the demo. If you get an answer wrong. How can you get past that question?

You must be a level 10, registered user in order to access this function!
July 21 2008: - Level 6 of the main Test is now on line!

Can you get to level 10 or is 6 the highest you have added?

Compress / Validate your code you have a lot of empty lines and it appears you have some tags closed that are not open.

Missing Doctype from code

Example
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01
Transitional//EN""http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

I did not see the use of any h1-h6 tags.

The Countries online box at the bottom does NOT load during page load. It loads only after you scroll down "scroll down slowly and you can see it" this causes a page refresh.

Thanks for the extensive review.

1. "In the demo. If you get an answer wrong. How can you get past that question?"

Well, you should see a page that says "Sorry... Wrong answer" and has a button "Try again" - which returns you to the question. Didn't that happen to you???

2. "You must be a level 10, registered user in order to access this function!
July 21 2008: - Level 6 of the main Test is now on line!"

My mistake. The levels are on line but not accessable yet because they don't have enough variants yet. I'll solve that problem in two or three days.

3. "Compress / Validate your code you have a lot of empty lines and it appears you have some tags closed that are not open. "

Did you see any mistakes on line because of this? Where?

4. Why do you think I should have a Doctype and headers?

Yes I did. But if one can not get the right answer how can they get past that question. Or do they have to answer the question right to move on?

I saw this when viewing the source code. about mid way down you have </table> when that tag is not open. No I did not get a error.

I am too clever/stupid? to waste time giving you my details & going through 10 questions just to help you with your site,
& too old to try to hack past them making my score a world beater! (no prize or incentive)

You really need to make a 404 error page. If a visitor hits a URL that does not exist your site becomes pop up city.

example
http://www.worldofiq.co.cc/images <--- pop up city do not click or follow

I've reviewed your site in as much as I tried out your demo questions. I flew past the others but the Riddle on question 6 got me and since I honestly didn't have time to think about it, gave a wrong answer to see if there would be a new question.
There wasn't.
So here's my take on it. I already know my IQ and it's reasonably high and I like problem solving...but I don't like sites designed to piss me off. Like most reasonably intelligent people, I'm curious and like to check things out. I don't like being stopped dead and unable to go forward. I expect many people would feel exactly as I do and simply walk away from your site never to return as I will. Especially since your site is outdated and cheesy looking, and there are numerous spelling and grammar mistakes. I'm assuming English is your second language because of the placement of your words.
Since I'm good at spelling, I don't like spelling mistakes or grammatical errors so it was hard for me to get past all of yours simply to check your site out for you.
Your code is scattered all over Hell and back. There's way too much spacing between your lines of code. If a search bot only has seconds to check out each of your web pages, it isn't going to get past the first line or two before running out of time and moving on. By the way? Why no description tag?

depends on the site & structure but I never bother unless there is a prize for highest score or I want to have fun with site owner.
If I told you how it was done you would have to kill yourself, as I am too far away to do it ( English JOKE! for Americans who thought I was serious.) too complicated to explain here & very site structure design, security, dependant. anyway like magicians secrets these things cant be made public otherwise people would change site designs to prevent it.

Your site looks interesting.

But I think it needs nicer fonts and graphics.

Unfortunatelly I can't do that because my site host doesn't allow it. But what you say will happen only if you write the site address wrongly, no?

Well this should be an intelligence test. So that's a risk I will have to take.

So I just have to hope no one bothers...

Looks like lots of people think the site look old.
So I updated it a little (just the home page for now). Tell me what you think.
