Default On the right track? eyemagination.us

Hey everyone,

I've just added some new sections to my website, http://www.eyemagination.us. What I'm trying to accomplish is working with niche audiences and the general public. So, I've optimized the pages as best as I can. For example, I offer packages (http://eyemagination.us/solutions.cfm) for the general small businesses and for specific ones (like vacation rentals - http://eyemagination.us/vacationrental.cfm). I've even gone ahead and started up some link exchanges (keep in mind that they are still in the process of being accepted...only some have reciprical links).

My question is, am I on the right track to higher rankings...they all fall under the same category (design and internet marketing), but is there something I might be missing? And, do you think the navigation gets them enough infomation to contact me? Your opinion really counts...thanks for any advice!

I think your site is great...
you might want to add more keywords though
and there were no nav bars on the links page... no way to get back except to hit "back"
as far as higher rankings go, I'm new at web designing and I will tell you that my site rank keeps escalating, mostly due to the sites I am linked with. I just started in Aug (at "zero" and am now up to "3" - I just started linking in late September). Try to get as many good links as you can.. I try to keep my links to sites that are relevant to mine (hosting, SEO, designs, webmaster resources and such).. ask for link exchanges here and join LinkPartners.com
You have a great site!

I wish I understood this link business that info202 mentioned. Why, in the required proposal, would you risk placing a mailto link anywhere on your site so that whoever takes you up on the linking option can contact you? Address harvesting bots must giggle with joy when they hit such pages.

And besides, isn't the whole idea just an empty, transparent gesture? Doesn't it strain your credibility?

Gee! I guess I just revealed my ignorance. Oh, well, I just don't get the whole thing. Can anyone enlighten me?

Default Thanks for the input...

Thanks for the input everyone. Right now, the links page (any every page for that matter) has the navigation listed at the top and upper left corner (when you hover over the image...hey, it's a designer's site...I've got to have a little fun!).

For "tikanet"'s enlightenment, the internet is all about linking and sharing information. Link exchanges are a great way to see similar sites with similar qualities. That being said, I'm a part of a discriminating link exchange club that is monitored by other designers. If it doesn't look good and function well, it's out! And, I've also manually contacted other sites in the vacation rental and artisitic industry. I'm sure it helps seperate me from the other link exchanges. I guess the bottom line is know which link exchange club you're getting into...or you might get blocked for spam!

So, that leaves me with two other questions...when you look into the site, do you know it's about internet design and marketing? Does it also lead you into the vacation rental and/or artistic website design pages?

Sidenote: Can we get emailed whenever there is a response? I just happened to recheck this...that's why I'm soooo late getting back to all of you ;)

your site indicates immediately that you are design company... however, you have no indication on your home page about the vacation rentals and artistic designs... perhaps you should consider putting that info into your title description somehow...
I'm not sure how you go about getting emails when there is a new response to a post... Last week, I was getting emails by the dozen.. this past weekend - nothing... then today, I got an email about your post....my guess is that sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not...
supposedly, you should indicate in your profile that you want to be emailed when you get a response...
