I don't think this review needs to go further than addressing your URL.

A big no-no when it comes to web design is getting a URL with even ONE hyphen in it, and yours is FULL of them.

Get a decent URL.

Other than that, it looks like a blog.

You're right. It's not the greatest URL for the simple fact that it's too long and not focused enough. If Sheena's set on using hyphens, I'd recommend a shorter, more memorable URL as well.

We know that the URL can be a significant contributor when it comes to keyword/keyphrase relevance.

Considering that Google can parse the hyphens and underscores from URL's and querystrings, those hyphens can mean the difference between being found on page one and not being found at all.

For example, users are much more likely to search using a long-tailed keyphrase consisting of "web design and search engine" than they would using the same phrase without the hyphens.

It'd amount to "webdesignandsearchengine", something no user would search with and, being that Google won't automatically inject spaces to parse the keywords, completely useless.
