I'm currently working on a site and have asked people in other forums to review it (from and graphics / layout point of view).

A few commented that it was slow, but it seems fine to me here.

Does anyone else find it slow??

It's a little slow on the first visit, seems to take a while before elements start to load, but after they are cached it's quick.

I'm in the UK on 512K/256K ADSL.

I'd work through the page and clean the validation errors just to make sure one of those isn't tripping up the browser. You also seem to reference images that don't exist e.g. http://www.amstore-interactive.co.uk/jdd/public/images/content.gif

It loaded quickly for me on a cable modem.

hey, its not working at all

It loaded within a couple of seconds and I'm on 15Mkbs cable in Switzerland.

I was however puzzled and waited for more to load as the page looks incomplete. It needs a border or different color to the background...

I went to Web Page Analyzer - free website optimization tool website speed test check website performance report from web site optimization and submitted your site.
The results say: YES, it is slow.
You have a boatload of javascript.

Could be your server though.

Hi all,

I've reduced the size of the image files on the site in the hope that this may speed things up a bit. The loading times still seem fine at the office and at home though. Hopefully the image size reduction will help with the speed.

I am on a cable modem in Pennsylvania, US, and it took about 5-6 seconds to load initially.
