Default Site fo Review - www.urskarachi.com

Hi,

Please review this portal http://www.urskarachi.com/ and give me your comments and suggestions.

Please keep in mind that currently content of this site is designed for eastern audience but now I want to include contents that can attract western audience also.

I need suggestions, what type of contents and resources should I include so visitors can return to my site especially other than my region.

Best Regards
Rashid Rupani

One word - Overload.

Right from the start. This is one of the most difficult sites to decipher I have seen in a long time. There is way too much in such a compressed area. I counted at least 12 different colors for the text.

I think mostly what is needed is more seperation between the different areas. Add a bit of 'whitespace'

Pick a few colors to go with and stick with them.

With the adds mixed right in with the content, it is hard to tell what is the page and what isn't.

I think that some better organization might be needed. Try to decide what the main point of the site is and build around that.

Hope this helps.

I agree, there is no focus point. Separation of the different areas is key for a site with so much stuff. Here's some things I would do:

- Remove the text with center alignment. makes everything look more cluttered than it is.

- Create separation between the different areas. Maybe subdued colors for the different areas, with the main section in white.

- Keep more consistant with text color.

- Reevaluate the importance of the different areas. Does downloading wallpapers need to be on the home page near the center?

- Make the center cell (the part with the ads, the ring tones, ect.) absolute size, not dependant on the page width.

Just some ideas. You can take them or leave them.

Hi.

I'm going to keep this review really simple and ask you but one question that will allow us to help you greatly.

What is the main thing that you want to accomplish with this portal? (What's your 'vision' of it)

I don't know what to say. Your site hit me like a bomb. My eyes went everywhere and I couldn't settle on any particular item.

I was left wondering whether the Karachi stock exchnge was linked to the Horoscopes and perhaps it could all be solved with a free download.

I understand you wish to give a lot of information
and hold people's attention but there didn't seem to be a focus; a dominant idea other that information at speed.

Perhaps it would be better if you could focus the opening page on what you want to achieve and then spin the other information of it so I could just click on a link if I was interested.
In a sentence I think you need to think about what you are trying to achieve....ie what is the focus.

Then look at the best ways of achieving the focus.

Hope this has been helpful

Graham
