Red face Please review: Arizona-Mountain-Property.Com

Your opinions please.

My site Arizona land, Colorado Land, New Mexico land - HOME

sitereportcard.com and validator.w3.org find html code script errors. This is built in xsitepro 2, so I have limitations: for, instance fixing the code problems found.

The full site load is slow (37 seconds) but that is because of the product thumbnails. What to do?

.sitereportcard.com find 3 spelling errors - but I can't find them.
Also my keyword is "arizona land" but they break it up into "arizona" and "land." Anything to do about that?

Where to start...

I like the site concept. But don't like the site.

First of all, if you have limitations fixing the code problems build your site in another program or build it in notepad.

Regardless of how you build it, build it to conform to standards. You currently have 22 errors on your front page and you and despite the info in your headers your site is not Valid HTML 4.01 Transitional.

I didn't experience a 37 second delay waiting for the front page to load, but I did notice a long delay for your basically non-existent newsletter page.

If "Arizona Land" is a keyword why doesn't it appear on yoru front page? Just because you include a few choice keywords in your meta tags doesn't mean you are going to get ranked for those words. Include your choice keywords in relative content.

I don't like the way your thumbnails column is aligned on the right side. Change the alignment to conform with your other colums.

Your textual and graphical layoout is week and uncompelling. Way too much scrolling required for such limitied information.Your graphics are not high quality. The property pages are inconsistent in look and feel.

The site offers little (nothing) in the way of Search Engine compliance or optimization.

Frankly, if I cam across the site while searching for property I would not stay.

I suggest you change your layout and incorporate some better scenery. Arizona has some beautiful country. Maybe incorporate some Arizona colors and a banner or background image of an Arizona countryside. Improve the quality of your images, maybe add some effects and make better use of CSS.

That's a minimum start.

Good luck!

OK, I am trying to fix my code. Validator.org recommends html Tidy. I am using Xsitepro2 and need to correct just the main panel code but what they have does the whole page. I downloaded htmk Tidy but it seems to take more than I know to install it.

Can anyone tell me where it is installed on the web so that I can try out my code?

I agree with all of Tech Manager's observations and suggestions.

Don't underline text that is not a link. The spacing inside some of your paragraphs and the spacing between the paragraphs is not consistent throughout the document. Font size and style is not consistent throughout your headings. "Oftentimes" is not one word.

Using firefox 2.0 from Windows, when I click on "financing," an image of a house pops up over the horizontal navigation menu, hiding part of it from use.
