1. There is just way to much information on the first page.
2. Your company brand "Island Wholesalers" have not been reinforced throughout the page.
3. No contact information
4. Remember you have about 6 seconds to get a customer to consider staying on your site and going further into it

Actually I like the site. My only criticism is that it is advertising wholesale pricing. Personally, the second I see a vendor advertising wholesale pricing in a venue that is generally open to the public, its a deal breaker right then and there. Perhaps you should consider advertising the retail price, open the site up to any order and then have your resellers open an account and apply the applicable wholesale discount to the entire order?

Ultimately however, that is your call.....

Your title tag reads 'Accessories & Shoes' - not sure if that is the best fit for you.

Actually that is the link from any category under Men's brands. Looks like you're running a yahoo store but like the categories above it, the url should still maintain 'islandwholesaler.com'

I also think sthe site looks fine -simple and does what it says. However, much to do on metas. Page titles and descriptions way too long. Could be penalised by search engines - best not to take the risk.

Also I see that there is a fair amount of styling on the page but I guess that this may be a function of the e-commerce programme. If that so, use a better one.

Contact information would be good and may be a legal requirement - not sure what the picture is in your part of the world. At least you have put a phone number and by the sound of it your system responds to enquiries.

I agree with lucasmeyer. Too much info on the home page.
It's a very busy page.
I feel that all of your links should be olive like the sidebar links. Your top navigation needs more prominence, perhaps rollover images or bolder text.
I would like to suggest that you make your style sheet external. There are alot of pages in this site and changing elements would be SO much easier for you.

Yes, external stylesheets are a big time saver!

There seemed to be more than just lots of information which was unsettling and I think it has to do with balance.

Some of it is due to the header and top links not being centered over the rest of the page. The star emblem to the right of the header may be what’s throwing everything off, Perhaps that could be placed under the search box, which brings up another point of balancing…

The border around the left navigation links is higher than the border on the right column and they are different in style. That just seems awkward to me. Also, the boxes on the right side are different in their widths and would look much better at a uniform size. It might help to put everything on the right side into one box without horizontal lines, including the satisfaction emblem and search box at the top and the PayPal at the bottom with the ‘Thank you” paragraph under it. That might help to frame the content area.

The bottom of the page needs organization. The ‘Business Policies’ and the ‘Affiliate’ logos and links could be placed into the left column. Consider though, that the ‘Updates & Catalog’ is contained in a heavy box which should remain at the bottom of that column.

The ‘Site Map’ link would look better in the left column as well, right up there in a green link under ‘Outlet Items’.

Then there is the small ‘Thank you” text stretched across the bottom of the page to consider. Most of this text is repetitive of the content above and would probably be best omitted with a simple Thank you for shopping at Islandwholesaler in some fancy text to close the paragraphs above.

There is lots of content and that is okay as long as the following is considered:

• The style of the page is not distracting to the flow of the content.
• There isn’t too much repetitiveness in the content, which is considered as ‘spamming’ by the search engines and annoying by visitors.

In my opinion, the content should be revised and condensed so that the message gets across without sounding repetitious and flows naturally. One consideration would be to position the <h1> paragraph above the product images and it could have the heading of ‘Wholesale Urban Clothing Brands’ instead of just the ‘Wholesale Clothing’, as it is now which would save some space and repetition.

The ‘Our Wholesale Clothing Catalog’ link could be incorporated into that opening paragraph instead of taking up so much space in the middle of the page. And,… the huge hours and phone number could go at the bottom under the closing ‘thank you’ or maybe sized down and placed in a side column.

<h2> could be the big green text; Why Buy From… and the following paragraphs could be <h3> through <h6> using keywords but sounding natural. I’ll try to be helpful with the following suggestions…
