Default Please review relieveyourdebt.com

Hi All,

Please review the site Loan, Debt and Credit Relief Education and Solutions. . I'm new at building websites. I didn't build this one but have been making modifications to the code to make sure it's optimized.

I'm now starting on tweaking content.

Thanks
Kevin

Typographical error on the following page:

Doug Johnson - Debt Relief Expert

The last paragraph reads:
Quote:
Many of these options overcome the “pitfalls” of tradition debt relief options
It should read:
Quote:
Many of these options overcome the “pitfalls” of traditional debt relief options

Just a few notes you may want to consider

1. I noticed you used underscores in the URL's. This should be changed to hyphens as underscores are looked as characters by search engines.

2. In every link you have a title summary of "Main Website Body". This should be changed.

3. I would add title attributes to the text links as well to help with accessibility

4. The image of Doug on the main page the alt attribute is "Radio Show and Webinar Info". I would change this to " Doug Johnson's radio show" or just Doug Johnson as this better describes the image.

5. On your Contact Us page the "amount of debt" text area looks small. I would make the width the same size of the box above it and also try and describe what debt your looking for. "Total of all debt, credit cards, house". Or if you want it broken down and listed. You may also want to consider making this page a https as well.

6. On your main page the box with " Doug Johnson, a nine-year veteran in the debt relief industry, provides . . ." is aligned left where it would look better centered. Viewed in Firefox

7. On your blog on the right side you have "website home page" and it is linked to the about us page.

8. You have links to everything on your blog except one to www.relieveyourdebt.com

9. Also on the blog, why is the large image of Doug linked to a small image of him?
Also why is there a blank white box at the bottom of the page?

10. If applicable you should provide professional schooling Doug has had in this field, lectures he has done, people he has helped, not just say "his friend", jobs he has held in the field. Please do not take this the wrong way but anyone can get a TV show nowadays and just being a radio host on an A.M. station does little for credibility.

Amxman,

Thank you so much for your great comments and suggestions.

And I agree with you that being the host of an A.M. radio show doesn't necessarily build credibility. In fact, I've told Doug this and we're compliling some of his other credentials for presentation on the site.

Best regards,
Kevin

Sorry to be harsh, but I get the impression that your first idea about debt relief is to not spend any money on web development and economize by using a template from 1999.

To be a little more constructive, I think you shoud get a decent photo. The one you have looks very pixelated. (Maybe because a small photo is being forced to a larger size)

And I fail to see why you added a poll to a submit site for revue especially one based on finance and credit - I have to ask the question was it revue or revenue you were seeking - the poll is closed.

MTheory - Thank you for your response. And I don't think you're being harsh! Doug is not very technically literate - and I'm really not that much better. He's very good with helping people with debt but not much else One of my frustrations is that he comes from the old school of personal contact with people - he doesn't really see the value of marketing himself via his site. So, he doesn't spend any money on it. He's slowly seeing the value of doing this, I think. (And he IS cheap.)

So, that's why I'm looking for professional advice that I can get cheap.

I have no idea where the original template for the site came from. If it's as recent as 1999, I'd be surprised.

ctabuk - I apologize for the poll. I'm new to this site. I saw that and decided I wanted to play around with it.

Thanks,
Kevin
