Also, I am having a problem where the buttons on the left bar change size on the new pages e.g. www.blueuniverse.co.uk - where it is normal and http://www.blueuniverse.co.uk/news.php - where it isn't

If anybody knows a solution to that problem I would be very pleased to hear it

Anyway I would be interested to hear what you have to say as many hours of time have gone into producing it.

I like the site nice clean easy to nav. but the blue on the sides hurt my eyes a little.

Your buttons change size because the table that they are in is changing to match the content in the middle section. It can be a bear to set it all up so that it does not change. You need fixed table sizes.

I like the layout and colors. The tab menu across the top works well for the site. There really is not too much to criticize.

You are spamming the keyword news. You are using it 22 times when the maximum is 6 times. This keyword may be rejected by the search engines.

You are spamming the keyword news within your description. You are using it 7 times when the maximum is 6 times. Your description may be rejected by the search engines.

You have 21 keywords that are not used on the page at all. The file size is extremely large. Your page should only be about 40Kb and yours is 183Kb. This makes your download time almost twice what it should be for a 28.8 modem

The xhtml coding itself only has two small errors.

line 37 'NOWRAP' needs to be 'nowrap'
line 61 absmiddle is not a legal value, needs to be either top, middle, bottom, left or right

Strange, the first time I ran it through, it came back at over 180Kb and around 80 secs to download. Now it is 43Kb and only 18 seconds to download. Go figure.
