I think if the fonts were smaller and the color was different, this would not be a bad looking site. I run at a very hi resolution and the text was gigantic. I can't imagine how big it must be at lower resolutions.

The red color that you have chosen is not very appealing. I think you need a calmer color for the the theme. The text in the top banner looks very fuzzy. Almost like it was stretched to fit, instead of being made to fit.

Your pages loaded fast and were consistant, I just think that you could do better with the colors.

I agree with kingman, the text is rather big as are the borders around the table. In my personal opinion, anything above 2 pixels wide usually looks a bit gaudy.

(This is just something that I noticed, maybe wouldn't effect other people) but on the home page, when you say "Click on the graphic to vote for this
page as a Starting Point Hot Site." I instantly looked up at the image directly above where you had said that, which wasn't a link to it. Personally, I would just have it so that you click on the text to vote, or something like that.
