London Community Free Ads, Free Classifieds and Ad Jobs In London England is a new free Classifieds Ads, the software is same as Craigeslist but not as comprehensive, I am hoping it will pick up and become more popular soon, I would appreciate advice on how to improve it and make it more visible on the web.
Thank you

My first thought was: what a horrible domain name.

Mooch: "to get or take without paying or at another's expense; sponge: He always mooches cigarettes."

I see there is already a Craigs List for the UK. How are you better, different?

Unfortunately, another attempt at reinventing the wheel. I agree with Dave on the name. The term mooch has negative annotations.

That probably wasn't intentional. When typing the url in posts, this software automatically makes the link appear with the title of the page being linked to as the anchor.

I sort of get the idea about the "mooch" part, being literally a 'free ad' listing site.

As for why the competition with Craig's list, why not? There's more than one auction site, search engine, web designer, cell phone company, and even wheel manufacturer...

For example eBay has it's own competition, and to appeal to disgruntled eBay visitors all the site has to say is "We're not eBay".

Just the same there can be more classified sites, as this topic was recently brought up in another post...

the site looks ok...the domain well its kinda memorable...but what i think about is...are you making that site to make money or just for fun? because if it is to make money, how do you plan to do that? the only website that's making money in this niche is craigslist...there is a ton of other classifieds sites like this...
but then again you could say the same thing about my site CBCJobs.com - search and find jobs, work, employment ... but my site actually has a revenue model...craigslist kinda squeezed in the fees for job postings even though its not really designed for job postings...its designed for classifieds...

the main page is kind of overwhelming a lot of links...also you'd need to divide it into cities areas like craigslist does...

also you forgot to add a header on top that leads to home page, that should always be present...

did you program this yourself or just got a script and modded it?

Thank all for your comments regarding http:London Community Free Ads, Free Classifieds and Ad Jobs In London England, top marks for the idea about the "mooch" part, being literally a 'free ad' goes to jawn_tech, those who did not do their home work have to resit exam again, in the UK people prefer local Classifieds than international so there is no competition , I am not planning to make money for the time being, it will stay free for the time being, any good advice would be appreciated,

Thank you
