New Look & Feel - Smartads.info

Hello Everyone,

My site Smartads.info has been around since 2002, but has needed new upgrades for a very long time. After many trials and errors, I think we finally designed a clean look & feel.

Can you please review;

- the front page
- sub-categories
- one of the articles
- an author account

Those four sections are the most important areas of Smartads.info. Any positive or negative feedback is greatly appreciated.

Some of the new features I added are:

- Top category feature articles
- Bookmarking scripts
- Author rss feeds
- Rate the article script
- Post comments script
- Biography page upgrades
- Category archives
- Targeted feeds within each article
- + Many more small features

First impression is what do you do? - it doesn't say at the top- if someone happens upon the site without actively looking they may ask the same question.
The site looks well laid out but the article load time was yonks ( I have a 5 meg connnection).

I agree, I'm not impressed with the load time either. I believe it's due to the "Kontera Text Links", they seem to really load slowly and draw a lot of bandwidth.

2nd, I've been coming up with a new tag-line for Smartads.info but have been stuck with 5 different slogans. Maybe later on, I will post some options to see what people think.

Thank you! I will definately work on that load time, it's been bugging me for a while now.

I have no clue as to the purpose of this site.

Along with a new slogan, I've also been working on a new logo which really works better for Smartads than the original one we've been using since 2001. These comments have helped to push me forward and upload the new logo + slogan. This important change is now viewable within Smartads.info!

RE: "Way too many links"

I also agree, most of the upgrades have been completed to the sub-categories, article template, and author profile sections. A new front page has been in the works for a little while now which I hope will better display certain areas of Smartads.info, instead of simply displaying every article category like it is now. I hope to have it uploaded by the end of the week. I'm glad to hear people feel the same way.
